Back in 1990, Gabrielle Carteris was in her mid-thirties when she was playing a teenager on BH 90210. Mary Mouser was 22 when they made Cobra Kai and she was supposed to be 14 or 15 because she looks young. Alos Sabrina Carpenter was also much older than her character was supposed to be in Girl Meets World. Ironic when you consider that Rowan Blachard was actually younger than her character was supposed to be.
I saw it today. She did a good job. She looks young enough for the role.

shareShe is locked in her curse. Because of her very small height she can play 15-years old teenagers in her twenties. But eventually her face will age out to look convincingly as teen.
And then there will be no roles of adults for her. Since she will look like 28 years old person in child body.
That's what happened with Christina Ricci too. Even at 18-19 in Sleepy Hollow she looked off put as adult woman. And Hollywood gave up ion her. She still did movies. But nothing big. Some small budget forgettable crap.
Ortega has no future in adult roles. Nobody cared about her movie with Martin Freeman. She has no star power. She got very lucky with Wednesday and then to get into Beetlejuice-2. And she was quite boring in Beetlejuice-2.
She will vanish overnight. When hype around Wednesday will die and it will be cancelled. It was stupid from her to exit Scream. It's still a big franchise that will get hype and money and give relevance to actors who are in it.
In 5 years people will be asking: 'Remember Jenna Ortega? What happen to her? She was everywhere".
With some exceptions, people tend to have few physiological differences from the time when they are 16 up to 25 years old. I have no source, just speaking a general truth (a maxim). Jenna is great as Astrid, in my opinion.
