Not sure if anyone mentioned this one already, but I say Tourist Trap

Surprised I didn't see anyone else mention it...

Roman Polanski's Repulsion (1965) was probably one of the scariest I've ever seen, and I watched it in 2015! Best if you know nothing about it before watching. As much as my girlfriend at the time hated to admit it I think it scared the crap out of her too, especially from thinking about it for awhile and then going to bed. The night of she woke up from nightmares.

Also enjoyed Polanski's Rosemary's Baby (1968)

Stanley Kubrick's The Shinning (1980) did it for me as well back in the day.

Scariest one I ever saw was Noroi, a sadly underrated Japanese horror movie.

A close runner-up is The Changeling, from 1980. That movie scared me so bad I couldn't go to sleep afterwards and just stayed awake until morning. That wheelchair, man... **shudders**

Suspiria (1977)
Poltergeist (1982)
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
The Babadook (2014)
The Thing (1982)

So many people remember The Exorcist, but no one has mentioned Children Of The Corn. Scared me more than the Exorcist and was actually the last one to scare me. I was 9 or 10 at the time.
