shareAny new info on when Netflix might get Season 3 or when it might be released on DVD with English subtitles ??
shareI wish I knew. I did hear the last season was going to be seen in the UK in the next few months, so perhaps after that they might put it up on Netflix. Meanwhile, please contact Netflix and ask them to get it. I don't know who does those subtitles, but they were very well done, and I should hope the last season would be just as good, as well as the subtitles. I know people who have seen it on YouTube (they actually speak Spanish so they can), and they loved the whole thing.
shareI am not TV watcher per say, I chose this series expecting passion & it delivered!
I thoroughly enjoyed this show, it felt like a great book one just can't put down!
I did a marathon viewing & it left me desiring more, so glad to hear it will continue!
I have asked friends to watch Gran Hotel, they are hooked too!
Awaiting in California, please post when S3 is available on Netflix!
😎
My husband and I started watching season 3 in a Polish site someone posted, we could watch 3 chapters , but then it went crazy, will try again later. But yes there IS A SEASON 3 ! It has gotten like a lttle violent , but it is still very good !
shareAre there english subtitles? if so mind posting?
shareI've been watching it on a station called VME which seems like a PBS spanish station. No english subtitles so I'm missing a lot of the subtleties but I can keep up with the overall story. The Javier character is still a loveable screwup, Alicia & Julio are still sexy, the Inspector and his partner are amusing and Dona Teresa, Belen and Diego are still the perfect villains. I missed the first episode after the explosion, so I'm having some trouble grasping who Andres been involved with and who the Brunette Companion is with Alicia, seems like a friend or cousin. I'm sure I'll watch it again once Netflix has it. Getting ready to watch "Velvet" on Netflix which has the actors who play Alicia & Andres.
Anyone know where to get a soundtrack of the music?
I watched Velvet and saw Amaia Salamanca (Alicia) but never saw Llorenç González (Andres). I doubt I would have missed him since he's very distinctive. I did see a bunch of others, however, including the actors who played that lawyer, Julio's ex-girlfriend, the doctor, and Alfredo's mother. It was a lot of fun seeing people I had seen in other roles. Their costumes were so different, I was often unsure at first who they were. But when I saw Grand Hotel the first time, I never recognized anyone. Watching Velvet made me feel like a connoisseur of Spanish TV.
I'd love to get that soundtrack, too, but I haven't seen it anywhere. The music is one of the things that made me want to watch. It's just gorgeous!
Llorenç Gonzalez appears in season 2...
shareWatching velvet on Netflix was a great painkiller after the missing episodes experience of Grand Hotel. Mind you Amaia was not as good looking as we remembered Alicia from the Grand Hotel, but it was great pleasure to discover her, like Andres (yes, he has a major role), Laura (also major character) and others in the play. The story was enjoyable and I agree with you, music content was great. Netflix did a netflix a-la Grand Hotel and dropped off after season 1. We went on and watched the following episodes on youtube, of course without subtitles. Even youtube came short, because we believe there is a third season, but it may not yet be available.
In the meantime I purchased the entire Gran Hotel 13 DVDs from eBay. Although its all in Spanish, watching it is great. My wife, after seeing it several times, is able to explain to me whats going on.
Now waiting to see what Netflix is going to do with these shows.
Hi ! I just discovered by an avid admirer of the series as myself , that I could watch the last 4 episodes left of Season 3 by
Antena3 , that is the channel that created the series, we are paying a dollar an episode. The other half of the season we watched on a Polish tv station , but since we know Spanish we had no problem , the sub titles are in Polish ! but then the last four chapters they do not have and that is when I discovered through this chat the Antena 3 . Thanks for sharing. The only thing is that it is completely in
Spanish ! no English subtitles.
I just wanted to comment that chapter 19 of the Season 3 is AWESOME ! Very well directed and very intense ! Sorry for the ones that are waiting still for Netflix to bring Season 3 with sub titles , you are in for a treat !
The chapter is called: La Salud de los Difuntos" that is very paradoxical because it means " the health of dead people " .
Great performances and good scrip . Congrats ! Hope Antena 3 , Netflix, Hulu and others keep bringing European series for our delight !
It gets better!!

Wendy you seem like a huge Grand Hotel fan.. you should check out the facebook group I created to discuss all things Yon. It's Yon Gonzalez-USA with a hyphen. Join in and see what you think. It is a small but growing group. I suspect as more people discover Grand Hotel on Netflix it will grow more. It's at 33 people now.
shareThanks, I'll think about it. I like thinking about Yon myself. LOL But I'm not a huge Facebook fan. I do appreciate the invitation, however. You must know by now that Season 3 is on Netflix, right? :) I'd already seen it all on various strange websites, but it sure looks a lot better on Netflix. Anyway, it was certainly a long wait especially after that hideous cliffhanger at the end of the second season, but it did not disappoint, that's for sure.
shareYes, I have seen it already on Netflix, but Netflix has cut out some pretty significant parts.. I have the entire season downloaded and also in DVD.. I know, I am obsessed. By the way, I sent you a private message.
shareWell, I have watched the entire series on Netflix and some of it on other sites and never noticed anything missing, but that doesn't mean much. Adding up all the hours on Netflix it comes to almost 50. The DVDs come to almost 52, so I guess there must be something we're not getting. ::sigh:: What I wouldn't give to be able to watch this on DVD and see the whole thing but with English subtitles. My Spanish is coming along, but I doubt I'll be able to keep up with it to watch without the subtitles for another year or two. ¡Qué cosa! Y gracias por su mensaje privado. :)
shareThere are places online where you can watch the entire series with English subtitles. And for sure there are alot of pieces missing in the Netflix version. For example, the part where Alicia and Julio sleep together for the second time, there is one whole scene missing. It's a cute one too.
shareYes, I've actually seen the whole third season on those websites a couple of times, and come to think of it, that scene was missing in the Netflix version. ¡Caramba! What's up with that? Well, I guess I'll go back to watching it using those sites although the picture isn't as good. I know I did watch one of the episodes of the first season and saw at least one scene I didn't think I'd had seen before. I guess it's time then to see what I've been missing and go back to the beginning. The first season is also on Hulu, and it's set up to show the original episodes with the hour-and-a-half lengths. That's where I saw that first episode and wondered if I'd just forgotten a scene. I could start with that although they do have commercials, as I recall—very annoying. Or perhaps I'll just go back to finding the first two seasons online. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

isn't Torrent a way to download videos? I don't want to do that, I just want to watch them online. I have used clicknwatchonline.com to find the shows with English subtitles, and after I finish watching the first 9 episodes on Hulul, I'll switch to that. I've watched the first two episodes and there was only one scene I found missing on Netflix that I could tell, so far. But thanks!
