Gran Hotel Season 3
Does anyone know if this has been released? ... In particular in the US? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks for any info.

shareIf you're talking about anything after the 42nd episode, I heard you can watch Season 3, although I don't know how much of it is up there, on YouTube but without the subtitles. I think I'll just wait myself until it's on Netflix. I'd love to see it, of course, but YouTube is less than satisfactory for watching TV shows, I've found, and without the subtitles, I'd be lost. But I had no idea there was going to be more until I just read a post to that effect here on IMDb, so let's hope she's right! So far, Netflix only has up to the first 42 episodes, Seasons 1 and 2, as you're probably aware.
shareI have watched all they have on Netflix... Just want to see more. 😁😁😁. Thanks!!
I know exactly how you feel. I even had an online chat with someone at Netflix and asked them to please get us the rest of what's available, por favor. With subtitles, of course. BTW, I watched the whole thing twice, and it was amazing how much I'd forgotten the second time through, which kept it interesting. It was almost as good as the first time, minus the suspense since I usually knew what was going to happen already. Now I've dragged out my Spanish textbook and am going through the lessons so when the third season comes up I won't be so dependent on the subtitles. I doubt it'll help that much but what the heck.
shareI'm confused. We watched 42 episodes divided into 2 seasons on Netflix. The explosion was the end. Is there more to come? Some posts appear to be saying that there are.
shareApparently, there is more to come (thank God!). It just isn't on Netflix yet. If you don't need subtitles, you can watch those episodes on YouTube. I prefer to wait since I can watch my Netflix shows on TV and need English. I don't know why the third season isn't mentioned in the listings here on IMDb. That's why I use the term "apparently" when I say there's more. I did, however, go over to YouTube and there did seem to be a bunch of episodes in a third season. And one I briefly looked at didn't seem to be anything I'd seen before. I got on a chat with someone from Netflix in the middle of the night and begged him to get the next season. Perhaps you could contact them and see what can be done. That was quite an ending for the final episode so far, but there were so many loose ends, it did seem like it couldn't be the last even though everyone seemed pretty well muertos.
shareFirst of all, I want to say THANK YOU NETFLIX for recommending this show to us. My wife just finished watching all 42 episodes the 3rd time and now bugging me to get season 3 of this great show. So now, let me bug NETFLIX about it. I consider shows like this is what makes owing a TV worthwhile and paying for the streaming service. I think if we make enough noise, we'll get result. My comment to the producers of the show: Don't listen to the surveys result. The real benefit will show up in due time, once the population wakes up to the fact that there is quality entertainment available on television.
shareTotally agree. Thanks for posting this!
shareWaiting for months, with my wife chowing my ears off, I decided to write to Netflix. This is it
Notes to Netflix:
We have been very happy with Netflix from the beginning and enjoyed many of the movies and shows provided. With the abrupt ending of Grand Hotel however, we are disappointed. There has never been our experience with any cable broadcasters to have a show abruptly stopped only for us to find out that there is continuation in existence.
Message to Netflix programming management: Bring us a series in its entirety, or not at all. Don’t do this game that after bringing joy, bring misery, by chopping the show to pieces. We have been waiting for months in hope that Netflix comes to its senses and fix the problem. Your customer support people are very nice and polite, but that doesn’t solve the problem. I don’t think that Netflix needs this bad publicity, but the news is getting around. There is no magic to the problem; you’ve already dealt with the major issue of bringing the show to us with SUBTITELS. So go ahead and finish the job properly.
Your red eyed followers,
Oscar and Anna Suranyi
Oh, Oscar and Anna, I love it! I sincerely hope someone will listen to you. This is really cruel and unusual punishment. They did the same thing with Longmire, btw. I don't get it. 😖
sharethank you for this!
shareBecause here on IMDB the listings of episodes are in the order and divide of how they aired the show in spain, however, in the US due to different broadcasting companies they divided the episodes and contributed them differently as they like, confusing.
so on netflix, I think that the second season ended where is actually the show's original episode 8 "La última noche" of season 3(also listed here on IMDB)
Can't wait for the remaining episodes with english subs to come!!! :)
I'm confused. I Love this show..so hooked. But Netflix has 42 episodes but it also has a 3rd season so do they have it all or not? I am on episode 40 and feel like they would need another 10 episodes to wrap things up. Anyone know if Netflix has all of it now?

Hi Artemis,
Have you contacted Netflix and asked for the third season? I did that, and chatted with someone who told me it was very popular and they were working on getting the rest of it. But the more the merrier, ya know? Let them hear from enough of us, and we should get some results and perhaps faster than if we hadn't.
Hey Wendy
Yes I did that! :D Seems like I'm not the only one. This show is popular in Russia, well as least among my friends))
Hopefully they'll put the rest of the show on before this year ends, I'm so addicted to it!
I think that ending is all it is....When you look at how many episodes the actors were in..It says 39. I think we have already seen Series 3. Can anyone dispute this. Trust me, I want more.....
No, Dianna, those 42 episodes are not all there is as I know people who have watched the rest of them, 22 more, on YouTube. Unfortunately, it's not that easy to watch them there since they don't have subtitles, or at least what they do have are not helpful. I haven't actually tried myself, but I did look at one briefly and noticed it was not a scene I had seen before so was actually a new episode.
The DVD set has 14 disks. At 4 per disk, that makes room for 64 episodes. If I knew they had the English subtitles, I'd buy them in a minute and the universal DVD player, too. I'm dying to see what happens next, especially given that horrendous cliffhanger, and I've already watched the entire first two seasons a number of times trying to supplement my study of Spanish. One of these days....
If you want to see the rest, please get in touch with Netflix and ask them for the third season. The more people they hear from, the better it will be for those of us who are big fans of this show.
Oh Wendy, I hope so...I chatted with someone at Netflix yesterday and he told me that seasons 2 and 3 were combined. I am dying as well to see the rest. I can't get involved in anything else. I have tried but after Gran Hotel, none of the other shows have interested me. The acting is terrible compared to Gran Hotel. I will keep watch. I tried to watch on you tube but it says it is not available in my country (USA). I would love to see just a snippet to ease my mind. Any suggestions??
shareHi Diannab, sorry I didn't get back to you but I just saw your post. If you talk to Netflix again, you can tell them what's going on. Yes, season 2 and 3 were combined, making them all part of season 2. But there are 22 more episodes in season 3, which would have been season 4 if they hadn't put 2 and 3 together before, and then that's it. Apparently, Netflix doesn't realize this or something, and I don't know why because I know I told them myself when I whined about being left with these dreadful cliffhangers at the end of episode 42.
If you can, try this link to the trailer on Sky Arts: http://www.sky.com/tv/show/grand-hotel/video/trailer. I was just able to watch it myself since I got my friend's username and password (he's in England). But I'm not sure I'll be able to watch the actual episodes since I couldn't watch any of those from season 2 on that site when I tried a little while ago. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for January 4 though.
Ok Wendy, I found it on a website but no subtitles...I can watch it but don't want to spoil it since I don't speak spanish!
shareWould you mind telling me what website it is that you found the other episodes? Thank you!!
shareThank you!!
shareI just tried this website, and nothing came up except suggestions for other similarly named sites. Are you sure this is all there is?
sharehttp://watchseries.lt/serie/Gran_Hotel
I tried to do a print screen...It copied it but will not paste it. It is in Spanish. Can you not see it?
Hi Diannab, thanks. I was able to go to that site with this URL, but the only episodes it has are those that are already being shown on Netflix, and then it wanted me to download some movie player, which I did, but it didn't work anyway. Oh well. I'll just wait to see if Sky Arts works on my computer. I can watch the trailer, so hopefully the show will come through, too.
shareTry Hulu - The UK is awaiting the third season as well - most probably towards the end of the year. If you like Dona Teresa - Adriana Ozores - follow her fan club - https://www.facebook.com/AdrianaOzoresInternational
Wasn't she amazing? I kept thinking she must have had a blast playing that role, and those clothes she got to wear were just gorgeous! I'm pretty caught up in Dr. Quinn fandom and think that's enough for now, but I have to say, this show is certainly as addicting, at least to me (as I'm halfway through the second season the third time through and improving my Spanish every day!)
shareAccording to Netflix, they don't have an ETA yet. They have to acquire the streaming license for it. I hope they hurry it up and get it soon!!!!
I'd like to fly, but my wings have been so denied...
I started watching the first episode of Gran Hotel to try it out and was instantly hooked. I'm totally obsessed with this show! Once I found out there was a 3rd/4th season not on Netflix I was going to write and inquire about when it may be available, but thanks for the information. I am five episodes from finishing all the episodes on Netflix and trying to hold out watching the rest until I know I can continue watching, but that probably won't last too much longer.
shareWow.
I'm from China,I just began to watch season 3,but found that there'rejust total 17 eps of season 1 and 2,so ...I'm confused...
When you said season 3,does it mean season 4???I heard that there will be season 4..
In China,I can download the episode from internet..but it's all spanish, sooo hard to understand...tried to get some English subtitle, but failed.....
Time to haul out the Spanish books. Yes, I think we mean season 4 since season 2 was sort of a combo of their planned season 2 and 3 for some reason. There are 42 in all so far. The 42nd episode was pretty traumatic and left us all hanging by our fingernails. Believe me, I know how you feel. Netflix has the best English subtitles. The series is completely understandable with theirs, and they are timed perfectly. I guess it's not available in China--what a shame. But if I'm wrong about this, it would be worth it to get the streamable Netflix subscription. It's not that expensive. Then you could at least watch what's available so far. Keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of the series, and soon.
sharehaha ,thanks~I just found English subs of episode 23 to 25.
That's what I can found now,I even tried to get on Youtube to see the left eps,but the translations are horrible, both English and Chinese version.I can only figure the story by their gesture and expression on the face :(
There're some enthusiastic people are translating this show to Chinese in China, but you know,it needs time,we can just wait...
Very interesting! I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes a worldwide phenomenon. I'm two episodes away from having watched the first 42 of them three times through! I know, I know, lo siento, estoy loca, but it's really helping me learn Spanish, and I've decided I really should. We have plenty of Spanish speakers around here I can practice with, and I'm having a lot of fun. Besides, at my age it's good for the old brain.
Good luck (buena suerte) with the Chinese subtitles. I can't imagine how difficult that must be to do. They speak the Spanish so fast, it would almost be easier, seems to me, to translate from the English subtitles to Chinese since the English is already so well done. Enjoy!
yaya..muchas gracias...I'm not sure if I said the right words of Spanish..
This show just makes wanna leatn Spanish, haha~Let's do this~
When I was watching the show one day,my husband who was behind me,said:OMG,they speak soooo fast!!
Sí, hablan muy rápido! Muy, muy rápido! Well, most of the time they do. I think even if I learn it well, I'll never be able to spit out those syllables like they do! But there's a guy that has a whole website devoted to the idea that you can learn Spanish by watching TV shows in that language, especially if you find one you really like, and Gran Hotel is it as far as I'm concerned. It may be Castilian, which is not spoken around here, but it's still Spanish, and watching this show over and over is such a pleasure, I may just end up learning it after all these years. Es bueno ver su entusiasmo por uno de nuestros programas favoritos. Muchas gracias! (Nice to see your enthusiasm for one of our favorite shows. Thank you!) In China, no less!
shareI just looked it up on Amazon, and there is a DVD set of the entire series that looks gorgeous, of course, 14 DVDs in all, but I was unable to determine if there were English subtitles, so I did write to Amazon to ask. We'll see. At any rate, as far as I can tell, it's only available from Spain in the European format, which doesn't work on our DVD players. It is tempting to find a multi-format player somewhere, if they exist. This is definitely something I'll watch more than once. I already have!
shareI believe that I saw that too... just ignored it 'cause it was in the European format. Anyway just hoping they get it to us American's that love it and want to watch it. Another one I've chased and can't fine the next season of is, The Paradise. A BBC series that had the first season on Netflix, but I can't find the 2nd season except in a European format. You'd probably like it if you haven't already watched it. It's in English at least so if we could find it we wouldn't need subtitles.
Thanks, Wanda, I always like recommendations like that. I've now told myself I'm only going to watch one episode a day of Gran Hotel, just to keep Spanish in my head, and I will learn at least one new word from each episode as I go. (Today it was two of several words for pregnant!) That leaves me time for other stuff. Of course, if Netflix is going to just leave us hanging like they did with Gran Hotel (OMG!), I'm not so sure I'm interested. Let me know if they get the next season, okay? Por favor? (This site doesn't like upside-down question marks, for some reason.)
shareI actually tried to watch The Paradise, but somehow it just didn't grab me. I like a lot of the British series like that, having years ago watched Upstairs Downstairs and Poldark, among others. But this one just didn't do it for me. I didn't find the characters or the situation all that appealing, unlike Grand Hotel, where they were immediately interesting and attractive, not to mention the locations! BTW, the latest season of The Paradise is running on PBS these days. But thanks! I'm looking forward, btw, to the next season of Downton Abbey, but I'm wondering now if it will pale in comparison to Grand Hotel. I never felt compelled to watch that one more than once or twice (mainly to get all the dialogue I couldn't understand among those below stairs).
I really wish someone would let me know if Grand Hotel were available in the DVD set with English subtitles. I'd buy it in a minute and a new player, too. :)
Just finished all the episodes in Netflix. Love the show so far. Such a shame we'll have to wait for who knows how long (maybe a year even).
I was originally drawn to this by it's short plot summary: "To learn the truth about his sister's mysterious disappearance, a young man infiltrates a hotel in the guise of a footman and begins an investigation."
Really sold it to me as a great mystery show. I was a little reluctant once I found out it was in Spanish but I gave it a shot nonetheless. While I was originally drawn to it for the element of mystery/suspense, I think I stayed for the romance. Admittedly I'm a bit of a softie at heart and I nearly teared on several occasions.
And yeah I agree the subs are great. I don't know if it's because Spanish is just "easy", the similarity of many words to English or the great subtitles, but I did pick up quite a bit of Spanish just from watching.
Well, bbq, if you've ever seen subtitles on other Spanish shows--in Spanish!--they're often just awful, completely off from what's being spoken and not even the correct words. Someone went to a lot of trouble to get these English ones just right. They're sometimes not exactly what is being said, but it's close enough you have no trouble following everything--for 42 episodes! That's a heluvalota work!
Nice to find a fellow fan. You might do as I did and contact Netflix and ask for that third season. I did by an IM chat on the website a couple of times. It was kinda fun!
Hey all, I just started watching, is it worth it to continue if there isn't a final season?? I would hate to get hooked on something if it falls flat in the end. Thoughts?
shareOh, groovy, it's definitely worth it. The whole thing is just a pleasure to watch for so many reasons, you shouldn't miss it. And it doesn't fall flat at the end, it leaves you with a huge couple of cliffhangers.
I'm sure eventually we'll get the rest. If enough of us pester Netflix about it, they're going to have to figure out how to get it for us. I guess it has to do with negotiations with the owners of the series. But naturally, the more who watch and the more fans they hear from, the sooner we'll get the last 22 episodes.
¡Espero mucho!🇪🇸
I have just finished watching series 3 on Youtube. I just couldnt wait and luckily, I lived a year in Spain and could understand everything. All I can say is that it is DEFINITELY worth the wait. I'm now mourning the end of the series and keep replaying Alicia and Julio's best scenes... I may watch the whole thing again once the final episodes come out on Netflix. I loved everything about the series - the acting, the music, the setting, the stories... I particularly liked how subtle a lot of it was... how well many of the characters communicated their deepest thoughts and anxieties with one look. It wasnt filled with gratuitous sex, violence, and foul language. Despite the fact that Julio & Alicia's forbidden love was central to the plot from day 1, that story is told in a very sensitive and delicate manner. Both of them seem to honestly try to resist each other and the chemistry between them is always communicated in the most subtle ways. Julio can be frustrating - my husband was getting annoyed with him for not just simply leaving with Alicia but I suppose the series had to go on... Sigh...
shareLooks like I finished watching it just in time - the youtube links no longer play here in Canada! oh well, maybe it's for the best since I keep rewatching my favourite scenes...
