Cannot believe Hiddleston wasnt nominated for an Oscar

His screen presence and ability to lose himself in the role of Loki should have gained him A NOMINATION as Best Supporting Actor

I know Superhero movies are usually ignored by the Academy, but Hiddleston does to Loki what Ledger did to Joker

I didnt expect Tom Hiddleston to win, but a nomination would have gone a long way not only for his career but for gifted young actors in general

I am disappointed to say the least

RDJr should be nominated for The Judge right this minute. He was better than most including Cumberbatch.

Hiddleston's Loki will play a key role in Infinity War. Hopefully by then the Academy will want to honor the MCU entire body of work the way they paid off the entire LOTR be awarding Return of the King so many awards.

Good, he deserves it. Such a great actor yet all I see is Loki when I see him now no matter what role he plays.

This is a joke thread right? Because even though i think Hiddleston is good as Loki he's nowhere near the caliber as what Ledger did with the Joker. There's just no comparison. Ledger gave a spectacular performance that i doubt will be repeated with any other actor for a very long time in the Joker role. If Ledger's Joker and Hiddleston's Loki were up against each other Ledger would still win. Not saying Hiddleston's Loki is bad, but Ledger is now a legend because of that role.

If the writing was more better in the Thor movies, which unfortunately it isn't as much compared to The Dark Knight, then maybe Hiddleston would've been considered. But the Marvel movies are way too campy for the Academy and while Loki is interesting and complex in the MCU he's isn't as mysterious or ominous as the Joker who is far more interesting and complex.

Honestly, it was tragic but had Ledger lived he would have never even sniffed an Oscar for playing Joker.

He was good, but he gave us his annoying dialogues. No way better than Jared Leto.
