I liked the father/son dynamic but not the husband/wife dynamic

It was nice to see a son who is really into his dad's career. That doesn't happen much. They seemed to have good chemistry.

His wife? I didn't like her. She nearly kills him driving head on to get him to spill the beans on his meeting. Was that meant to be cute?

And her taking a seat to watch her husband fight and also by the way, casually reading a magazine. WTF?

And yelling at her son who is riding his bike to take out the trash? Can't you see he's busy trying to get over the loss of his father's death woman?

Normally it's kids who are written as the annoying thorn in a man's side but in this movie, it was his Mrs.

? I did not see it that way at all.

You can spill the beans with your wife, it was not like it was some cia mission, that was Kens mistake for keeping his wife out of the loop.

Women know how people work, whereas men (Ken) knows how things work.
The fight scene is just an example of how the wife knew the nature of her husband...knowing that he had to blow off some steam and it was not a serious fight.

As to the bike scene, sometimes normal routines can help create stablilty in a young kids life.

I'm just glad they had the little woman know her place, and not make her interested or knowledgeable about the industry like the men in her family. It's a man's sport, and I'm glad they didn't cave into any SJW bs.

She was a race car driver, fat lot you know.

The wife character was awful.
The first scene was ok, but then it was just her looking out windows, her looking out at cars, or looking at fights.

Whatever her personal charms, she was apparently the breadwinner in the family except for the relatively brief period her husband was working for Shelby. Hope he had a life insurance policy that paid out despite his dying in a risky, work-related activity.
