A lot of things. The white commision snippets of the survivors and Sue Snell's video diary. The prom scene before all hell breaks loose was longer. Carry and Tommy kiss (we have that as a deleted scene, but it really should be in the movie). The prom scene is much longer. After the blood gets dumped on Carry she runs out of the school crying before she snaps, comes back in and starts killing people. It's been a few days since I read it, but I think there were a lot more scenes with the town burning on fire too. All that I mentioned plues a ton of other stuff. The script was 120 pages long and the movie is about an hour and 30 minutes without the credits. That alone says how much is missing.

Yeah that was the original beginning of the movie, and it's way better than the deleted scene showed on the blu-ray. I think the script is just amazing. It's crazy how close it is to the book, but also how unique it is with its subtle social media scenes. I wish they'd stuck to it more :(
