reply

"What's wrong with your gun?"
"It jams sometimes"
"In the final stand-off?!"

Also the Ghandi bit.

reply

"Well, that's just FÜCKING GREAT! Oh, GREAT! Do you know what that is? You know what that is?"
"Great?"
"THAT'S JUST FÜCKING GREEEEAAAAT!"
I also really like the Quaker story.

Talking with Hans in the tent when Hans says that's the problem with psychopaths they get kind of tiresome after awhile.

reply

absolutely!! I leaned over to my friend during the film and said that was a keeper as a quotable line from the film... and who better to say it than someone known for playing psychos!!!

"Y-y-you ain't gonna fight.."
"Of course. I ain't gonna fight. But I ain't gonna run."
"What are you gonna do then?"
"Guess I'm gonna die."

Walken's character is probably the best character.

This line made me laugh the most: "He's called a psycho-killer to come and psycho-kill us!"

Yup. That one's pretty good.

I'm sure it goes without saying that everyone and their dog loved the graveyard shootout so I won't talk about that because it kind of goes without saying.

Excluding Billy's final shootout explanation, I think my favourite scenes were the final monologue on the tape recorder, the opening scene, Zachariah's story/flashback sequence, and the scene leading up to and the eventual death of Hans. I'm sure there's more, but those were the ones that really stick out to me now. I'd have to watch it again before I could come up with a definitive list, though.

My favorite scene was in the bar, when Marty was telling Hans the story of the psychopath that slit his neck (which ended up being Hans himself). And then Billy comes up and yells "NO, nope, no" and keeps hinting for him to stop telling the story.

What an amazing scene.

"No, I don't drink... I take Peyote."

reply

My favorite scene was the end credits, when that horrible movie was over.

reply

Yet you would prolong your experiences with the film long enough to set up an account on IMDb with the expressed purpose of posting on the board for it. Sounds to me like you secretly loved it and just don't want to admit it to yourself.

"I am the law."

LOL exactly

My favorite scene was probably the hospital scene with Charlie and mayra......although there are a couple of others that come close. My favorite line was probably " the hooker..she studied Vietnamese at Yale". For some reason that line cracked me up

reply

My Fav scene is when the dog gives the jack of diamonds his paw.
The shootout explanation
The tape recording.
" Oh and I don't think they like to be called Fags anymore."

reply

"His rabbit gets away of course. You can't kill animals. Just women."

I almost died at that part. I kept thinking, "Are ANY of the women going to get out this alive?"

"Jerk!"
"Republican!"
"PIE!!"

reply

Loved that line, and Sam Rockwell's delivery just kills it. His entire performance in this movie is just brilliant.

reply

He's good at playing crazy guy ( Box of Moonlight, The green Mile )

reply

Yeah I thought Sam stole the show. And I liked the very subtle hint towards the beginning when Walken's character was critiquing the script and he was saying how all of the women characters don't have a lot of lines and they die.

You know nothing, Jon Snow.

reply

Sam Rockwell's description of how he thought the film should end was just brilliant and also his de-bunking of Gandhi's 'Eye for and eye' quote...
