This is just my opinion, if you liked the movie and disagree with me then that's fine. But as a reminder, it is only my opinion.

I am a huge Arnold fan, so I was very excited to see him in a new movie. He is in his twilight years of his career and soon will be retiring. So any chance I can get to see him in a movie, I'm all over it. What was exciting about Maggie is a role he is normally not in. You get to see a different side of Arnold we haven't seen yet. However after waiting for this movie to finally come out, I have to say it was a HUGE disappointment. I mean, wow. Maggie made Sabotage look Oscar worthy. Once again Arnold had to shoulder the whole thing with just a really bad supporting cast. Outside of Arnold, the movie was very bland, story line just seemed flat and limited. I thought Arnold did a very good job showing a different side to his acting abilities, but there were a length of time throughout the movie where Arnold was not in the story line and it was just very dull, boring and dragged on.

I get they were trying to build the story line, but just felt a lot of bad acting in this outside of Arnold. To me, it also seemed like they were fighting to decide what type of movie this was. A mature adult drama movie, or a teenager tackling the problems of the world type of movie (In a zombie way of course). I guess I just kept wanting Arnold to be the main character, but he wasn't and that just didn't seem to work very well. I dunno. The ending was also just very short and meh. Out of all the movies Arnold has been in since coming back to Hollywood, this was the worst one on my list.

But I hope he got all the cobwebs out with these last few movies leading up to the new Terminator movie and return to form in July. Can't wait! And no matter how bad his movies might get, I will always watch and support them. Here's to Arnold never getting to the choppa. Hope you act forever!!

Agreed. Not only did the story go nowhere, but we didn't even get a payoff ending. Crappiest ending ever.

Arnold did the best he could with the limited script he was given, but he just wasn't given enough to really do.

What a boring, slow moving piece of junk this was. It could have been done better. There really wasn't much suspense. It was all done too slow, too quiet. It just wasn't a good movie. I've seen better ones that have tackled the same kind of thing where the main character gets infected and eventually turns. But this was just so............blah.

Maybe if they had shown what happens in quarantine or shown more zombie attacks in the town or something. This movie needed some kind of real action and real scares. I feel like nothing happened.

I was really looking forward to this, too. Waste of time. It was good to see Arnold in a different role, but this movie was a boring waste.

Yep, 100% agree with your post. We are used to seeing more action with Arnold, but I think if you put anyone else in that same role you would have the same boring and disappointing outcome. I just cant get over that ending. I really liked Abigail in Zombieland, but to me she was down right horrible as Maggie.

And I just dont believe jumping off a 2 story house would really end it.

Exactly. Any actor could have played the role, same results. I felt that way with The Grudge, too, when Sarah Michelle Gellar did it. Anyone could have played the role.

The ending, I guess we're supposed to believe she jumped, turned, and then he shot her. But what a waste. No payoff, off camera ending. It was crap.

Yeah I hate those endings where they just have you make up you mind on how it ends. Similar to what they did with the Wrestler movie, but that was way better than Maggie.

But again, this wont phase me for Arnold going forward. Especially with his new Terminator movie. I also heard he has signed on for 2 more follow up Terminator movies. Also hope he moves forward with the new Conan movie, nostalgia man!

You two finished blowing Arnie and Each other yet ?

Abigail was the best acting in the movie..... Arnie had maybe 10 lines the whole thing and most of his scenes were facial reactions now i aint dissing Arnie's acting in this because outside of the Austrian accent that he can't seem to shake in any role..... he was very good in this, but to say his supporting cast let him down is none sense when he wasn't the best performance in the movie.

What kind of ending would have been a good payoff ? name me one movie or TV show were they found the cure for reversing the disease outside of the *beep* fest will smith one ?

The Ending was always going to be what it was, the only thing that could be changed is how she would go.... and her choice was to save her Father the burden of doing it..

And as for the guy who thought there should be more action to make it a better movie............ this was set after the infestation so for there to be the amount of violence you were looking for it would have had to have been a few months earlier.... and it would no longer be called Maggie and about a father not leaving his dying daughters side.... it would be called The Walking Dead.

But anyway, cant make everyone happy you know? Just didnt like it, doesnt mean it is a bad movie to you or anyone else. Glad you enjoyed it.

It wasn't a bad movie just boring. Yeah I knew she was going to take herself out to save her father the burdon and I know this wasn't any sort of action movie but... It needed something to make it more interesting.

I kept waiting for something to happen with the plot beyond waiting for her to die.

Anyway like I said not a bad movie just slow.

You sure you read my post about this movie? Because I never said the film was artsy, I said it was nice to see Arnold in a different role, the was the only real part I liked about the movie, without Arnold I really didn't enjoy the movie.

You think humanity is over because of a post about a movie? Get a grip, or stop trolling.

As I said, get a grip or stop trolling. Just a movie, if you loved it or hated it then good for you. If you think humanity is over because of peoples likes or dislikes of movie, seek help or stop trolling.

Yeah, I'm an average person just like you. Unless you think you're special, then good for you. Got to believe in yourself.

The problem with this film had nothing to do with the acting, and everything to do with the script.

And if that is your opinion, thats fine. We all have different tastes and I fully expect some people to really like everything about the movie, some who dont like the script and people like my who just didnt like the acting outside of Arnold. To me there is no right or wrong answer, just different views on things.

they should have gone on the run, Arnold couldn't turn her in or kill her himself so they went on the run, tracked down my police and quarantine, coming across zombie attacks which would make Arnold question what he was doing especially as his daughter got worse it could have been great but was sooooo boring, shame because the potential was there.
