i like the new one more, though i'm not the biggest fan of either of them.

i've never really dug nicholson's performance in 89. it's too broad & openly comedic in a way that didn't make me laugh and not intense of frightening to me at all.

the new film is imperfect to me for sure, but it's got a lot of things to admire in it. i'll probably try and catch it one more time in the theatres, just cuz it's so nice to look at.
