9/10?
yeah right, site manipulation by the Twilight trolls.
shareWORLDWIDE
$10,998
gonna flop...
Lol those are not the numbers. Nice troll attempt.
share$57,010,998
Nolans movie had a higher opening, it will flop, no one really likes Twilight ScawnyMan
Which Nolan film? You talking Batman Begins?
shareThe Dark Knight. or I guess the equivalent would be Batman Begins.
but this one just jumps right in with no backstory. just depends on how you want to classify it.
but a comparable movie would be TDK.
No the more comparable film would be Batman Begins. Both are reboots of the character. Therefore they don't have the built in audience yet since it's a reboot. This film will gross more than Batman Begins. It will not be a flop like you are trying to claim.
shareit was a flop theatrically.
shareI don't know if you're trolling or what, but it made 770 million dollars on a 200 million dollar budget. That's not a flop.
share200 million times the standard 2.5 multiplier is 550, add in bonuses, fees, splitting profits with theaters, etc, it prob cleared a 100 million. just because the movie made 770 million it doesnt mean the studio is going to get a check for 570 million.
TDK made a billion in 2008. 770m is a flop by todays standards.
No that is not a flop. Also nice try but just because the dark knight made more money does it diminish what the batman was able to do. Batman Begins did not break box office records but it was a minor success nonetheless. Enough to make a sequel. The batman was successful enough financially to get a sequel. I know you don't like the film therefore need to delude yourself into thinking it wasn't successful. You are insecure and objectively wrong though.
sharetransformers will have 5 sequels soon, it doesnt mean they are good movies.
shareWhat was the critical reception and mass majority reception of Transformers again? Oh yeah way below the Batman. Run along simpleton. The Batman is a success in every sense of the word. Financially, critically and mass majority reception. Transformers only makes money that is the only area it was successful.
sharedoesnt matter, the only thing that matters to the studios is money. why do you think they keep making fast n furious movies?
shareThe batman got good reception by critics and audience. Transformers can't say that. Not the same deal. The sequel is happening and about to start filming later this year. You are in the minority in thinking it is a bad film.
sharethe critics also said that ghostbusters 16 was a great movie. their reviews are subjective. audience reviews can also be manipulated as we saw with Captain marvel. negative reviews were deleted. the only thing that truly matters is box office and budget. Transformers might be terrible movies but they still made money.
shareGhostbusters 2016 got a 73% with an average score of 6.5 on Rottentomatoes. From top Critics it got a an average score of 6.4/10. The audience score is 49% https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ghostbusters_2016
On Metacritic Ghostbusters 2016 it has a critical score of 60/100. User score with a 2.7/10. https://www.metacritic.com/movie/ghostbusters-2016
So no even though the reception was overall positive it was lukewarm at best. The critics do not think that is a great film. The Batman got way higher reception from critics and audiences. You just dislike the film so you are trying to discredit it at any chance you get. The majority has spoken, you are in the minority.
Also you lost again it also made money and that is all that matters.
you proved my point. its certified fresh despite being a huge turd.
shareLol a huge turd according to who? You are in the minority. The Batman got better reception critically than Batman Begins did. Oh and look at that it also made more money than Batman Begins did. Lets do the math ready? I even adjusted for inflation. Batman Begins had a budget of 150 million in 2005. Which that equates to 224,773,425.50 in 2022. It made 374 million worldwide. Which equates to 560,435,074.24 in 2022. Which means if you take away the budget it grossed 335661648.74. Now not adjusting for inflation the gross would be 224000000.
The Batman had a budget of 200 million. It grossed 771 million. Take away the budget makes it 571000000. If you adjust for inflation the budget for the Batman it makes the budget going from 200 million in 2022 to 133,467,735.05 in 2005. it's gross 771 million in 2022. It goes from that to 514,518,118.60 in 2005. Which makes it's gross taking away budget 381050383.55.
So not only did the Batman beat Batman Begins critically it beat it financially also. So if the Batman is a turd Batman begins is a bigger turd. Mic drop!
batman begins is a origin story. a comparable movie would be TDK.
TDK made over a billion while Twilight Man flopped.
200 x 2.5=$500m
$771 million
185 x 2.0=$370m
Box office: $1.006 billion
According to the math. TDK is a far superior movie.
No retort? As expected. You are an idiot.
sharebatman begins
150x2.0=$300m
$373,000,000 in 2005 is worth $580,846,753.71 today
with inflation, batman begins still made more than The Flopman
580 million is less than 771 million genius. Can you not count? If you adjust for inflation that means Batman Begins had a budget of 277 million considering the budget was 185 million on the low end. Which means if you take away the budget from the gross it is 303 million it made. The Batman had a 200 million dollar budget and made 771 million. Which means it made 551 million after taking away budget. Wow dude you failed again lol. So lower budget and it made more. Just sit down dude you are embarrassing yourself.
shareyou dont adjust for inflation on a movie that was just released. haha.
nice try but maybe you should take 8th grade economics.
I adjusted for inflation to help out Batman Begins numb skull. If you adjust for inflation the Batman made more money. I was trying to help Batman Begins and it still didn't work.
shareyou dont adjust for inflation on new movies. that makes no sense.
shareI didn't numb skull. I only adjusted it for Batman Begins and the Batman still won.
shareI adjusted it too and batman begins made more money.
shareNope not what you originally said. Just because it didn't make as much as the dark knight or the dark knight rises does it mean it was a flop. So no it wasn't a flop. Learn what a flop is. Also we will see. I'm excited for the sequel. The penguin is helping it generate buzz. So I think you are wrong. Then again you are the idiot who edited his post about Barbie being a flop. Your credibility is trash.
shareHe's an excellent actor. If he can't help a movie it's probably because it's a superhero movie and those tend to be riddled with cliches.
shareNo, it's not. No matter how much you wish it would.
shareNow the rating is considerably lower. I guess the movie didn't have enough CGI and fighting.
