I can imagine that,since first Homo Sapiens appeared in Africa and migrated to Europe 100,000 years ago, they went with Adam & Eve being black...

BUT...

In Good Omen's universe, the world was created by God 6,000 years ago, dinosaur fossils being a God's joke... which means first hominid fossils were part of that joke, and the migration theory from Africa was incorrect. In that universe, the most likely place for the Garden of Eden and the origin of men was Middle East, Adam and Eve looking Jews, or Persians.

Quite interesting how the series doesn't dare to be coherent with its own jokes when it enters politically correct Diversitarian waters... black waters, to be precise.

Because why should they be any certain color? Surely you recall that the flood killed nearly everyone then the people were scattered after building the tower of Babel? Why would anyone decide they knew was "the plan" was?

Actually I think the producers would rather mess with the racists who would rend their clothes over something as inconsequential as the color of the cast in a series based upon an irreverent book like Good Omens than to be biblically accurate.

Just enjoy the show. :)

So I’m half way through this extremely witty, funny, original and brilliantly written and produced series, so I thought I’d pop in here to see what others thought.

Should I be surprised that the first thing I see is some knuckle dragger complaining about Adam and Eve (who incidentally appear for less than 5 minutes in the first episode) being portrayed by black actors? Probably not. Easier than having anything of substance to say about the quality of the production.

The ever-witty Neil Gaiman has some choice words for knob polishers like you:
