Wrong one liner -spoilers
When Andy kills the xeno we get a callback bit of dialog from Aliens. Which makes no sense and doesn't suit his character. It should have been a dorky dad joke. That would have been directly on point.

shareagreed, I just came out of the cinema and that line really made me cringe and felt like cheapass fanservice instead of a proper reference.
and don't get he started on that awful cgi of Ian Holm!
The cgi of Ian Holm worked for me. Since he was synthetic to begin with, that slightly synthetic look he had was perfect.
Plus, it was just badASS having that character back. Any flaws to the cgi could easily be forgiven.
I didn't mind the CGI at first cause I thought it was just gonna be a two minute cameo in a low budget film and then we'd never see him again. But damn it to hell, he was there the whole movie.

hmmm. don't remember that bit. if it's actually organic to the movie's story then that's fine by me.
shareAgreed, felt very forced. Yours is a good compromise idea, if they really had to put a one-liner there.
shareIt was terrible, as was every other blatant callback. The movie had hints that it could be something greater, but it's dragged down hard by this bullshit.
And instead of the CGI Ian Holm abomination, they could have fully made Andy the main antagonist with the chip switch (until maybe he overpowers it at the end or something, removing it himself instead of Rain doing it).
what line?
