Weird placement of the facehugger in the poster

Look at the legs of the facehugger on the poster, how are they squeezing onto the head if they are only scratching the sides of the head. The legs should almost reach the back of the head so that they have a good grip onto the head. Also, why are the end sections of the legs bent if they are touching the fairly flat side of the head.

It looks like an intern just combined images of a facehugger and a head in Photoshop, even though the placement in 3D space doesn't look good the more I look at the tips of the legs.

Its just giving one of those half-hugs like you give a loved one when you are just going to the store nearby for a gallon of milk.

You can see the tail isn't rapped around the neck yet so I guess we have to assume the facehugger just landed and is in the process of rapping itself around the person's head and getting a secure hold.
