Walt n Vic

Am I the only one who's annoyed with Vic? I really loved her in season 1 when she seemed more like a witty daughter like co-worker. I really dislike the love interest for Walt from her, it's just so annoying.

she looks up to him and would lie or cover for him because she has no trust...he thinks of her as a daughter not a romantic interest...and he has questioned her on the trust issue but it goes over her head because she can't trust any man...i don't like the actress

I like Vic, and I like the idea of Walt and Vic together, but that may be some time coming. Season 4 on Netflix was great, and yet sucky at the same time. Everyone dealing with Branch's death had them all in turmoil, and they all sort of retreated into themselves with their feelings. The sync wasn't there for the whole office, and that possibly contributes to some people's problems with Vic.

She is bold, brash, and sassy, and while a few folks don't like her for it, they have to remember she is not from Wyoming. Where she came from was the impetus for her attitude, and she has simply carried it with her.

Vic and Walt will be good together, in my opinion. Her usual sass excites him and makes him feel alive, in spite of himself. Contrarily, he is a calming influence on her, and one of the few people with the possibility of keeping her in check. They have a mutual respect that makes them work well together - in the workplace and in a personal setting.

It's a pity that wasn't explored further and we didn't see much of it in Season 4, but it was also understandable why we didn't.

I don't care for her attitude. In the first season she made judgments based on her East Coast culture. When she had an inkling that Longmire had feelings for her she started bossing him around. And this was what, one hot minute after her breakup with her husband? Her need for a man in her life, jumping from the detective to her husband to Walt sounds almost psychotic.

She is restless, short sighted and quick to make opinions. Not sure how those qualities make a good cop.

I'm just catching up on S4 (getting ready for 9/23 release of S5) and it's clear to me that Walt and Vic are the endgame here. They will either drag it out a bit at the beginning of S5, or perhaps they will get together right away as a reaction to what happens to Walt at the end of S4, but then run into some problems.

I'm sure there will be some angst and tension between them in S5, but I'm fairly confident the series will end with them together.

She annoyed the crap out of me in 5.1. I don't remember how I felt about her prior to this season, but I don't and never wanted her and Walt to hook up.

I'm a fan, do it...........

Vic was the badass bit** we always new she could be in season 5. Thank God they saved her character. Walt and Vic for sure now that she's not a moronic annoying basket case. They will be off the chain.

I think he liked that kiss. I haven't watched the whole season, but I thought so far she wasn't like she was last season. Not sure what that was about.

reply

At the deposition, the obnoxious attorney referred to it as a "passionate embrace". Hardly.

As for Walt liking it, if he did, he didn't exactly eat it up, so to speak. And later when he was sprawled out on the floor passed out from pain and exhaustion and she's standing over him he quips "You weren't going to kiss me again, were you?".

I believe Walt has feelings for Vic that are more protective than romantic.

I haven't seen the whole series yet, so not up with everything.

As far as 'eating it up', no the time or the place!

Not to give you spoilers, but there are moments coming up when you think, Ok this is it. This is the moment. Without commenting further so as not to spoil it for you, you have reason to hope. If hope is what you have.

He doesn't act like he gives a damn about her but it is a facade. He digs her especially this season. As it should be.

I thought that from the beginning.
I guess this will be one of those 'make all the wrong decisions until you finally make the right one'.

He walks out to her at the end. They will get their groove on. Just taking fu***g forever.

I was just thinking today while I was out about the Vic/Walt saga. I am not sure of your age, but did you ever see the movie Murphy's Romance, years ago. Sally Field, James Gardner. At the end of that movie she said, after a failed marriage, etc, that she was in love for the first time in her life, and he said, I am in love for the last time in my life. I think that is how that relation is going to go.
Walt doesn't give out his heart easily, Vic is a different type of woman, young, but I think they will get together as I think she is in love with him, and it is the first time in her life, and he loved Martha, but she is gone, and I think he will end up knowing he loves her,
I know a lot of people on here will think that is crazy, but that is a good movie that shows how things can work out between people of different ages Not only that, but in reality Walt and Vic are not that far apart in age, I know a few women who are married to men 10 years plus their junior. And lets face it, many men marry much younger women every day.
