Bunch of 1/10s on IMDb because Amber Heard
God people are so dumb and annoying...
shareThose dumbasses.
Amazon will purge the ONES and they won't be counted. To really shit on a movie, rate it 2/10.
The more you know.
Or maybe because it sucks. Amber Heard is still trash tho
shareGood. She and anyone or anything associated with her must be brought down and dragged thru the mud ...give her a taste of what it is like to be unjustly damned by the masses.

Petty revenge is the reason people vote for imbeciles. They want everyone to suffer! :D
sharePetty revenge? That's all your cancel culture does. So how is it some people can be immune to just treatment while others are not?
share> That's all your cancel culture does. [emphasis mine]
Gary (to whom you made that reply) is quite capable of speaking for himself and I'm sure he will ... but I'll jump in and say that he isn't part of the cancel culture at all.
So you would be against the incarceration or punishment of criminals as well?
GTFO!!
2 How on earth do you get that out of what I posted? It makes no sense whatever.

How? If she lied about the abuse (and apparently based on the proof presented that IS the case) she broke the law. So based on your "logic" anyone that breaks the law should not be punished or it's "petty revenge".
And yes, it's another case of "we trust the women and not the men", so that's another problem- normalizing actions taken based on allegations and not proof - only when there are chicks making the allegations (unless the target is a democrat then we trust no one ...), but if said actions have to be taken based on allegations alone then both of them should be fired, not one fired and one not.
2 I don't know that much about the situation between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, so I take no position on whether Heard was telling the truth about Depp or not. If she lied under oath that is perjury and if they can make a case, she should be prosecuted. The 'petty revenge' I was referring to was Depp fans trashing anything that Heard is associated with because of her connection to it.
And if you think that I let a person's sex determine their credibility, you are mistaken. Women DO lie (as do men) when it serves their purpose.
In short, you read too much into my post, imparting meaning that is simply not there and falsely accusing me in the process.

2 I take no position on whether Depp or Heard is telling the truth, but Depp lost his libel case in the UK.

FWIW
How big was her role now that it's over?
shareProportionally, about the same as in the original novel. They left Larry's initial attraction to Nadine (Heard) intact, and dumped the Lucy character, but that affected Larry's story far more than Nadine's.
I understand that some people have a strong dislike for Amber Heard, but for me a performer has to be very far gone over the edge before it gets in the way of my enjoying a performance. When I go see my doctor, I'm paying him for medical services, and I really don't give a shit about his politics, personal life, et cetera. Same with actors and actresses; I'm paying them (indirectly) to entertain me. They changed Nadine's character in a few subtle ways, but Heard did a good job with it. The main problem for me was that in the novel Nadine has dark hair, and it's more than a trivial point; her turning gray was an outward manifestation of her growing corruption. Amber Heard is blonde, and that just didn't feel right to me for Nadine.
Deleted because of repost!
shareI give it a 9ne because it's not nearly as good as the original nor the book.
