Chadwick Boseman recieved an award for Most popular America actor in China....

Black Panther will do just fine in China....

at this point Marvel Studios is Brand in China, The MCU films have build a trusted fanbase based on Many good to great films....

Black Panther Will make close to or more than 100 Million in China, The MCU films have a history of making 100 Million + in china

and to be honest BP could make 40 Million in China and Its still going to make 1 Billion

Actually its going to do an almost 50/50 Split....

Black Panther is going to do 500 M + Domestically and 500 M+ Overseas....

Domestically Will probably come in Slightly ahead....IMO Black Panther Will Probably finish between 550 to 600 M Domestically and Between 500 to 550 Million Overseas....

Black Panther is going to be the RARE MCU film that perform better Better Domestically than Overseas....but its going to be ONLY slightly....I bet the end result is A 1 Billion + Gross With about a 53/47% Split....

I disagree. So far it's nearly a 60/40 split, and will likely even out, and surpass 1 billion. It doesn't need China to do well. No black cast movies, or movies with black leads do well over there, but this could be the exception. The comic book character is unknown over there, and so is the actor. None of the actors films have played over there with the exception of Captain America Civil War, but that wasn't even his film. Should be interesting to see the change.

The reason why the Most Popular US Actor in China thing is a sham, is because none of his films have ever played over there, with the exception of Captain America Civil War, so there is absolutely no way he could be more popular than every American actor over there...no way. Vin Diesel is likely a bigger star over there because two of those Furious films are in the top 6 highest grossing films in China...Civil War is 27...and there is no other Boseman films on that long list. Naming Boseman that is a big sham and insult to him. It's a lie. Marvel probably paid them to do that. The Box Office Numbers won't lie.

On the other side of the coin, it was reported yesterday, by Gavin Feng (a Chinese movie tracker) that ticket pre-sales for Black Panther, in China, are "strong…stronger than Spider-Man: Homecoming($71.44M 3-day debut) at this moment."

I have no way to confirm if that statement is true or not, however, if there is a sliver of truth in this statement, it bodes well for the potential of BP in China.

^^^completely agree....but it did introduce Chinese audiences to Black Panther in a billion dollar movie and a film that made 180 M in China....

compare that to other first time solo movies....

Ant-Man made 105 M in china
Doctor Strange made 109 M in china
GOTG made 86 Million in China

based on the history of The MCU films in China...You would expect Black Panther to make close to 100 M, thats what recent debuting characters solo films made....But BP being in Civil War only ADDS to that, It can Only help!

do I except BP to perform like CW....NO.....but I do expect BP to get some kind of bump from CW....

If The recent debuting MCU films average close to 100 M....I expect BP to make at least 100 Million and maybe as high as 130 Million as a result of getting a bump from his role in CW!

I'm skeptical about China bringing in those kinds of numbers, history say's otherwise.

Even though you're hard pressed to find a film that makes a billion without China, this probably will. Usually only Marvel films that have done this, have had Captain America and/or Ironman in it, now it will be Black Panther.

I think you replied to me on the landofree Troll thread but your message is no longer reference-able because the thread has been Moderated and I was no longer going to contribute to the lunacy regardless.

Anyway kudos to Billbrown7071 for actually providing the positive information about the BP boxoffice well before the actuals came rolling in. Some of this thread was an off-shoot of the Doom and Gloom constant pronouncements from QueenFanUsa's threads predicting the downfall of Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, etc.

QueenFanUsa has probably moved on to A Wrinkle in Time and seeking vindication for all of his other terrible predictions. QFU has the strangest fascination with wanting to see Disney fail.

As BP continues to rise the negativism will continue to grow though.

Regarding blocking people, if you hit the “Ignore button” at the bottom of one of their posts it should take you through the steps. It’s helpful with some posters.

The problem with the "Ignore" feature here is that it also hides any replies to posts made by the person you are ignoring, so you end up missing a lot more than you intended.

Look...BP's second weekend is going to disappoint you. I hate to disappoint you but much of that opening weekend was inflated by the media as it fits their SJW narrative. But is this really a movie that is going to bring out people again and again to where this film hits Avengers numbers?

I say no...you say yes...and we will watch how this unfolds over the coming weeks.

On IMDB there was a Troll Named "Leemall"...He was a DC lover and MCU hater

when WB moved BvS to May 6th 2016 release date and was going against an "Untitled Marvel Studios" Movie

DC fans went on a massive trolling rampage because they saw no way they could lose with a Movie with Batman and Superman...Leemall was at the forefront of the rampage, where he constantly claimed Marvel Studios would have no choice but to Run and Hide and Move dates, also saying this could be the downfall of Marvel Studios, Because once WB "Muscles" Marvel Studios out of 1 release date, WB will do it with All the Great Release, he claimed MCU films would now have to open on terrible release dates, and my favorite which I had a my signature was When Lemall said "For the record IMO Cap 3 will be a rushed movie put together to be BvS sacrificial lamb"(this is still my signature on my IMDB profile)

Leemall spent a good 2 months Trolling daily about this, Until WB pulled one of the biggest pussy moves in Hollywood history and Moved BvS and RAN AWAY from a release date war they started

leaving DC fans Beaten and Broken

and The point of this is, I made a "Leemall Tribute" thread where I went back and highlighted all Leemalls failed statement and put them into one giant thread, The Leemall Tribute thread last for years

I considered doing to the same and Make a Tribute thread for Queen, but to be completely honest, Its not possible...There simply isnt enough room

in the last 6 months between JL,Thor 3, The Last Jedi, Black Panther, Pacific Rim 2, Tomb Raider, and Ready PLayer One, queen has made so many failed statement and made so many wrong Predictions..I would literally have to Make the thread, and then reply to like 10 times to fit all of queens failed trolling in

so Ironically, Queen being So Awful at trolling saved him from A very embarrassing Tribute thread I was going to make, hes so bad at trolling, Its just not possible to created a thread that fits all his failed trolling in..lol
