Her English accent was perfect. I was actually surprised of how well she did it. And she nailed the role.

Sorry but that's crazy - it was dreadful (and yes I am British (English)). I just tried to watch the film on tape; I'd heard of Adams but never seen her in anything and I wondered if perhaps she was Australian after hearing her jump around. That she was apparently supposed to be conning Bale is irrelevant - her accent had to sound good to US, not him.
In the end and for other reasons too I gave up but her wayward accent was one.
