Hmm, one of the FEW times in a movie I was not annoyed by kids.

This movie actually pushed me from not wanting kids 100% to not wanting kids 99.99999%.

Completely agree. Kids in movies like these often come across as really annoying. I appreciate the way in which they learned to shut up (I mean it in a nice way!) and not jeopardize the family with some dumb cry, scream, or sound. I kept waiting for a moment like that when they were hiding and found it very refreshing when it never came. Serious kudos to the director for avoiding the usual cliche.

I hate these 2 stupid/spoiled kids, especially Lucy, from her sneaking out to swim, wasting time not to jump, to her coming out from hiding (only to get caught and forced to shoot her dad).

I had absolutely no feelings about Lucy's story at the ending.

Do you have kids? Just curious. I have 3 and I think they acted like any kids would in those situations. Remember, they are children and you shouldn't expect them to act like rational adults.

The daughters and wife got on my nerves so bad I had a hard time watching it. Someone said they were adorable lol. They were whinny little brats who were not the brightest. I understand they had not been thru anything like that before. They were from a calm world but I mean come on, didn't anyone teach them any survival, never watched a movie before? This is actually what I was coming on the message board to talk about and then I seen your post was talking about it. The wife I thought a few times had a mental disorder. She kept telling the kids all is ok , we will be fine....and the entire time she is saying that people are being shot and killed in front of them. Im sorry but I dont care if she was trying to keep them calm or not...this was not a time for calm, this was a time to go into survival mode. RUN. Owen did a good job I think. I was wondering how he would do in such a serious movie but he did really good but they really should have kept looking for a wife and kids for this.

YES. A LOT. THEY RUINED THE MOVIE.

OMG I DROPED MY STUFFED ANIMAL!!! OMG I HAVE TO PEE!!! OMG I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE!!! OMG MAYBE IF I RUN AND SCREAM THEY WONT KILL DADDY!!!
