He was the best part of the movie by far.
This series sorely misses anybody remotely that cool.
Yes. Yes. I mentioned this earlier somewhere on this site. I also missed Greta who was the whole reason for the movie. And Paul Winfield and John Spencer.

The plane jane they cast in this series is baffling.
The judge and sidekick, also missed.
Same for pretty much every other cast member.
Oh, don't overlook the photography, direction, mise en scene...
this series is just inferior.
And Brian Dennehy and Bonnie Bedelia, and and and. That’s what the TV adaptation lacked so desperately was ace casting. If they could’ve nominated the casting director of the film for a statuette (Alixe Gordin was the primary CD for most of Alan J. Pakula’s films), it would have been a lock. Because the people chosen for the original were so excellently matched with their character. Which was a big problem for the TV side…believability. I bought very few people as their character.

Rusty and his whole family are quite unbelievable to start with.
But I would have trouble to say who is believable in this.
Probably only Sarsgaard is good with me.
