Old action stars missing ?

Good cast but what other stars from back in the day would Imdb'ers like to have seen? Me personally Wesley Snipes
Steven Seagal
Hulk Hogan

reply

Donnie Yen.
Chow Yun-Fat.
Jackie Chan.
Sammo Hung.
Carl Weathers.
Michael Ironside.
Alan Rickman - he is not exactly an action movie star but still...

Mel Gibson
Steven Seagal
Wesley Snipes

Are the only ones I feel should definitley be in the movies (not including any asian actors), Harrison Ford is cool but didn't do many of those kinds of films and Nicolas Cage is useless.

The others like Hulk Hogan, Carl Wearthers, Dudikoff etc are nobodies who never had it to begin with.

reply

Wesley Snipes is still in jail...

reply

He gets released July 2013.

Carl Weathers in E3 or gtfo.

reply

Apollo Greed is just as greedy as Willis, didn't you hear (1 mil a day)? So don't expect him.

I own you.

reply

I read Wesley Snipes was considered for the first film but couldn't because of his legal issues.

reply

Having seen Arnold, Bruce, Sly & Chuck all blowing people up in the same flick, I think the bar is too high now. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing Steven Segal and/or Kurt Russell in E3.

reply

Like Button! =)

reply

I hope we will never see Chan and Hung in crap like this :)

reply

[deleted]

Yes, some of those are bad, but at least he is not making sequals for them. Sly will continue to make expandables even though none of them are good.

I haven't paid a dime. I watch movies with friends...not at the cinema.

I often read opinions others have after I have seen a movie, it can be quite fun, especially if the lots can be interpretated in many different ways. I found this movie to be ridiculously overrated but at least there are some people here who have a more sane view on it. Starpower simply isn't enough when the directing and script both are pure crap.

reply

*beep* don't have friends."

reply

Lie all you want.

reply

Right, because the star of Shanghai Noon, The Spy Next Door, three Rush Hour films and The Tuxedo would never lower himself like this.

Actually he is slated for The Expendables 3.

reply

If true then he will sink even lower.

5th graders must have written the dialogue and plot for the 2nd movie, it really is that bad.

reply

You loved this movie and you know it.

reply

Au contraire; my mind is working on repressing the whole thing to save itself from the trauma.

reply

Funny how you kept talking about what you'd like to forget.

reply

Trust me, this isn't a movie I think about, the only thing which reminds me about this movie are the responses here.

reply

On the page for the movie...

reply

I know that. But if someone writes to me then I will respond. I don't hang around here to discuss it further. There are tons of better movies to watch, to spend time with.

reply

action star vehicles are missing.

Airwolf.
KITT.
Blue Thunder.

reply

Who are those? Some random Chinese nobodies? Who wants to pay a dime for those b-grade "actors". In China somebody might give a rats ass...

reply

LMAO

MIchael Ironsides and Hulk Hogan are not known for their "action movies" - especially in the same context.

reply

No one ever says Kurt Russell and it makes me sad

reply

I hear you. 'Snake' Plisken rules.

My husband and I have gone to lengths talking about the action heros that need to be in these films. Kurt Russel is always at top, then Sam Elliot, Steven Segal, Patrick Swayze (if he were still here), Dwayne Johnson, and John Cena.

Yes its campy but that is what we loved about these actors in the 80's and still do. They give us action and comedy at the same time and its great.

reply

A lot of valid suggestions but kurt russell's my fav!

Possible candidates for cameo roles:

Christopher Walken
Burt Reynolds
William Shatner
David Hasselhoff
Tom Selleck

reply

reply
