Another nail in coffin for Hollywood...

well Demi Moore is in amazing form...
but what this movie says about stardom and vanity, as one of the fading and dwindling pool of bankable stars ...what does this say about them?

Movies are already less fun and important, now you have a film showing the ugly underside and just reinforce the idea that Hollywood is superficial, and increasingly irrelevant.

Why this film and why now? Seems like shooting itself in the foot and overmaking the point.

This movie is fun. It’s not shooting itself in the foot. You’re supposed to just go on long with the espionage of the whole thing. Demi is in amazing form but she also has had a lot work done. She made a bold and brave choice selecting this movie and it works. This movie was made in France. It doesn’t matter if it’s Hollywood or anywhere, there is always the younger woman. That’s the way it is. The fact that it literally blew up in your face on screen just made the theater crowd roar louder.

Supply and demand, bro.

While I do see your point, what actors do or get up to in Hollywood is not Hollywood’s problem, it’s not there to babysit them.

I just saw a clip from an interview Demi gave at some function and she said that what she feels the film is saying is that "the better you, IS you". I like that and I agree with it. However, I wonder if that's actually how she feels as she's had huge amounts of procedures done to herself to fight aging.

It’s a bit rich coming from Moore, who got fake tits very early on, and has since been mangling her face… and shows no signs of undoing all the work she had done.

reply

Oh I agree, that was my point in saying she's had huge amounts of procedures done. Maybe she thinks people don't realize just how plastic she is.

I agree with her point but, like you, know she doesn't practice what she preaches.
