I am rarely ever disgusted with any particular scene in any movie but...
That bathtub slurp was pretty hard to watch.
shareThat bathtub slurp was pretty hard to watch.
shareThis movie is gay porn.
shareI’ve never seen a scene involving period blood in a gay porno. That’s for straights and weird witch lesbos.
shareThe point of that scene was to make heterosexual sex seem disgusting, as it's the only time in the film where it's actually depicted. The film is homoerotic to its core. It's incredibly, unbelievably, almost cartoonishly gay.
It seems to find sex in general disgusting actually as every depiction of it is vomit inducing. The creator of this film clearly has issues.
Anybody want a link to the Luka Magnotta dismembering body, cat slurping on chopped human legs. Mexican cartel, flaying live victims. bestgore.fun
shareLoved it! It was so over the top it made me laugh.
shareyeah that with the fucking of the grave. im not a prude, but i was like" but why?"
i see little other reason for shock value.
I didn’t mind it but it makes the psychology of Ollie a little incoherent.
shareI may be wrong here, but after seeing the twist at the end, I concluded that possibly he realized that after the incident with Venetia, he surmised that someone’s always watching and gossiping at Saltburn. He overcompensated his display of grief in order to be completely ruled out of suspicion. Also, Farleigh’s gay and he had to play that role, too. He even serviced Farleigh sexually to ingratiate himself.
He seemed to fall in love with the lifestyle there more than anything else. He never intended to kill them all or overthrow the family and take the property for himself. By that point, though, he had worked too hard to be cast aside and acted in desperation to come out on top.
I don’t know if Ollie was bisexual or what. I can tell you as a straight man myself, no reward on earth would get me to jerk off and sleep with a douche like Farley who treated me (as he did Oliver) with such disrespect and disdain. Oliver even tried to make alliances with him and mend ties. Farleigh didn’t like houseguests… because he didn’t want to be seen as the equivalent or lesser than the Cattons.
That birthday for Oliver was a traumatic day, and from that point on, he was on a quest to destroy them and retain only his own interpretation of the Cattons and siphon their wealth for himself.
Glad I am not the only one. Even thinking about it makes me want to throw up. And I have had no problems watching Saw movies.
shareYou're unbothered by the intense violence of the Saw movies, but that scene makes you want to throw up? Wow - you're...odd.
shareThat makes me odd too then as I agree with xplorar
shareYeah, same here. I watch gore horror, crazy Japanese films but this was where my stomach drew the line. This and the period scene both made me throw my meal away.
shareNothing really shocks me anymore. Once you realise there's people out there with fetishes for just about everything you can possibly think of. And many people make money from these things.
shareI thought I was going to throw up during that scene, seriously. Ah but then…
We had the menstruation vampire scene, and once again, it was all I could to keep myself from vomiting. And later on…
We had a naked man making love to a freshly-covered grave, but by this point I was thinking that this is fairly tame by this film’s standards. And lastly…
We had a bare-arsed man and his swinging willy gallivanting and dancing around a mansion. Now, by this point, considering all that preceded it, all I could think to myself was: “yes!!! Finally, a wholesome scene for the entire family!!!”

This movie was my 75yo mother's top pick of 2023!
