A windstorm wreaks havoc, Madison receives the embarrassing gifts her mother dreaded and wedding preparations go awry at this polygamist bridal shower; Mykelti and Tony announce their engagement.
Why has Madison lost so much weight? Is it the stress from planning a wedding?
Even though it hasn't gotten to the part with Mykelti and Tony yet, Kody has got to be the dimmest light bulb in the room if he thinks for one minute that Mykelti and Tony haven't done anything yet.
Like she said, she has been to busy running around getting things done that she hasnt had the time to sit around watching tv and shoveling in the calories.
Like mama june losing a hundred pounds in 1 year by being on the road doing a press tour. Always on the move. To busy to be lazy. The pounds fall off.
I thought most brides lost weight in planning a wedding. Everyone I've known who had a big wedding had to have their dress altered because they lost so much weight.
shareI know Madison was raised conservative but there was no reason for her to be embarrassed by those gifts. Sex is part of married life and everybody knows that.
shareIt cracked me up when the sister wives were talking about how embarrassed their teens would be to see lingerie. No one was embarrassed but the mothers, except Robyn. She's seen her share.
shareDid anyone else think Robyn was holding back from saying that Mykelti and Tony should just do the nasty using protection to get it over with instead of getting married and regretting it later?

I would've loved to see slug boy's face if Kody would've told them to just do the n@sty and wait a year to get married! He has dollar signs in his eyes and getting his hooks into the TLC and Brown family gravy train is crucial to his plan. I see Mykelti supporting this couch potato and him home playing video games while she works and raises the kids!

shareWe all know about the hormones of kids that age, but was anyone talking about sex except Kody? How many other parents who questioned their kids' decision about getting married so young would continually talk about the reason being they wanted to have sex? I realize it's not as important to some people, but since they were obviously hiding their relationship, how does anyone know if they're already sexually active? I know, he's a Mormon and before that he was Catholic, so he's got a double whammy guilt trip going on, but now the Browns love Tony or so they say and maybe T & M love each other and it's not just about hormones because they're already 'doing it'.
shareKody seems to have an issue with Mykelti's hormones since she was the special snowflake that warranted the passing hormones through kissing discussion with when she was in high school.
If anything I wonder if Tony is the one holding on to the virgin until married idea while he is dealing with worldly Mykelti, who probably lost hers to the high school boyfriend.
I wonder why Kody didn't have the same discussion with Caleb that he had with Tony regarding waiting until marriage. You know Caleb and Maddy have gotten it on if he's giving her lingerie. lol Why is Mykelti's chastity more important than Maddy's?
shareIt is one thing to say to 21 year old Tony "you have waited 21 years, what is 6 more months?" I don't think Kody is stupid enough to think that 28 year old Caleb is still waiting.
Since Caleb is his sister-in-law's brother, he has always treated Caleb more like a peer, rather than some kid that is marrying his daughter.
Well, obviously he couldn't stop Caleb from having sex before marriage, but what about Madison? He didn't want to make sure she waited? I just found it interesting that he never said to Caleb, "Look, I know you've had some life experience, but my daughter is young, and I ask that you guys wait until you're married for sex." Yeah, it's kinda intrusive and inappropriate, but this is Kody we're talking about. lol He didn't care about those boundaries when it came to Mykelti and Tony.

If they see it when it airs they HAVE to be embarrassed by how Mykelti acted and what she did. And Mykelti should be embarrassed too. Self centered spoiled brat.

shareWow, just when I thought Mykelti couldn't come off any more immature she demands they pay for her honeymoon because she has to push back her wedding which they are pretty much also paying for. I understand she probably did not get a lot of attention as a child but asking for so much is crazy, a 400 person wedding and a honeymoon costs a lot. (and I know TLC pays for quite a bit of it but still)
shareHer and Tony are dispicable. It's like she's trying to distance herself from the family but not before she can squeeze every last penny out of them. I normally don't agree with the wives and Kody very much, but I'm totally on their side with this one.
MAYBE if they were agreeing to hold off until December (which we all know they have but it obviously wasn't decided in this ep) then they would have SOME ammo in demanding that everything is paid for for them. But not like this.
It's painfully obvious she's trying to steal Maddie's thunder and has wedding fever. It's pathetic. And I don't care what anyone says, 19 is WAY too young to get hitched.
Didn't get to the part where she agreed to December before I posted this. But ya, she's still a tool.

shareAgreed! This episode made me dislike them both so much. How greedy can you get? When I was planning my wedding I asked my parents if they wanted to contribute financially, and I was prepared for them to say no. I got lucky, they said the would help, and I kept them informed of my plans and my budget as I went along, and I was grateful for every penny they contributed. MyKelti is just a greedy, immature, manipulative expletive who is enjoying her time on TV. She made Kody look like a fool. This was not a negotiation. MyKelti has nothing. Kody has all the money. When she said she would do December, but wanted them to pay for the honeymoon, Kody should have asked for a private talk with her, where he asked her who the hell she thinks she is. You want your parents to pay for a wedding with 400 people? Then be respectful toward them and appreciative of anything you get. Don't make this a game, because you'll lose. Call her bluff! Say, sure, you guys are adults, you want August, then pay for August yourselves. Ugh, I can't stand these two now.

shareDidn't Mykelti say she just wanted to elope but Tony said he wanted a big wedding? I don't trust that guy as far as I could throw him! He's all about the $$$ and his 15 minutes of fame IMO. There's something off about him!
shareI don't picture Tony being in school or working but laying around playing video games all day! His comments about Kody's money and taking out a 2nd mortgage are ver telling. He's expecting to be on the TLC payroll and I don't think he has any intention of working or going to school? I think he sees Kody as a guy who doesn't work but has tons of money and he wants to be like that! (That's my opinion of what Tony sees, not a commentary on how things really are). Tony seems very immature, greedy, selfish and I definitely don't trust him! That he's on board with Mykelti playing Kody about the huge wedding and paying for their honeymoon is also a bad sign that he's using Mykelti and the whole family!

share"Not a lot of attention" is probably a huge understatement! This family doesn't seem as bad as the duggers but still these giant families always mean that the girls have to basically be mothers as soon as they are old enough to carry a baby around. As far as having the parents pay for the wedding, she doesn't care about it and is only not eloping because they don't want her too. I admit I don't watch every episode of this show so I could have missed that she is some master manipulator but to me she is just going about her way too early in life marriage because of how she was raised and that includes the parents paying for the wedding.

shareWell, when you got TLC paying for it.............but I find it hard to believe they are actually THAT close to 400 people. Me personally, I don't like weddings...........
shareHonestly I don't think it st hard for 400. Watch wedding shows, and when. Purples are fro, certain cultures. Their weddings are hundreds of people, tony is Latino, he likely comes from a very large family. If they invite the extended brown family, including the extended family if the other wives which is very likely, that is a lot if people too. Probably at least half the guests are extended family. Add to it friends of the family and couple. I have easier time believing these gel can know 400 to invite than the 1500 Duggar weddings. My cousin and her husband had about 300. Both her parents are one of nine children. Cousins, cousins spouses, cousins kids, just that alone add up plus extended family. Coworkers, friends, friends of family, think they invited closer to four hundred.
shareOK, now I'm really confused. Janelle explained why Maddie and Caleb moved but there was nothing about either one of them going to school. They moved because Caleb's mother died. Then we hear that Mykelti is in school. Did I get that right?
shareI think they said something about Mykelti almost being finished with school--I may have misheard that. I know Mykelti made a big deal when she played them about everyone being out of school on December 17--when she is having her wedding.
