It's called opinion, and everybody's entitled to one. Telling others what to do, on the other hand? Not cool.

You must be talking about the OP.

Original Post...
telling others what to do...
You know... but you can suck it if you want.

reply

It was ok, but.............another "found footage" WITH MUSIC!!!!! Ahhhh!!!!!

reply

"Stop trying to ruin..." Blahblablah. Stop crying. If you like drunken cameramen, good for you. Obviously, here, many of us don't. And thanks to the poster who pointed out that this is another shaker.

They'll stop making them as soon as people stop making slasher films and romcoms.

Genres don't just disappear, bra. At most it might move away from the mainstream and become some hip inside joke 20 or 30 years from now. But considering it's a style that is affordable for newly aspiring filmmakers, odds are it will be around forever.

I'm with you if for no other reason than I cannot watch those types of movies without suffering from motion sickness. It makes me sad that I miss out on some great looking horror movies because I can't get past the first 5 minutes. People have told me that watching on a small screen is better, but it's not.

reply

Aye, if only for the fact that nobody is so retarded that they can't hold a camera still. Seriously, there's no reason for a camera to be shaking so violently the entire time unless the one holding the camera has advanced Parkinson's. Hold a camera and run twenty feet, I can guarantee you everything within the frame is going to be basically still with slight bounces or swaying. Why the characters in the movie have to constantly shake the camera like it was on a trampoline during an earthquake is freaking obnoxious, much LESS realistic than how it would actually be filmed, and it makes the movie damn-near unwatchable

you seriously couldn't do that? that's absolutely pathetic if you're unable to keep a camera aimed in a general area while moving.

reply

It is you who probably couldn't do that. It is easy to talk about something you haven't done. That is pathetic, not a laugh that you can't understand (it's a laugh, nothing else).

About me... I work with a camera from time to time. I think that there's a decent camera work in the movie. I don't know, I find it watchable as many shacky movies. Maybe your equilibrium center is damaged.

reply

Many, many more i hope.

This is just what video footage looks like when being shot by people using everyday handheld cameras and cell phones: realistic.
How realistic would found footage films be if they all looked like they were made in 3D HD by Industrial light & Magic?

If found footage films aren't your thing, just don't watch them.
I'm sick and tired of all those cynic *beep* who review every found footage film as "just another Blair Witch movie."

reply

If people need a gimmic to make their movies entertaining rather than just having a quality story line......

I too get motion sickness from shaky cam movies. It is becoming a joke. It should be used sparingly in a movie to increase the perception of a chaotic scene. But it gets overused and very often it is hard to see what is even going on.

reply

Far from your standard "Shaky Cam" movie. You are selling it way to short. Im not a huge found footage fan just for the fact that there are so many lately. But this one offers a bit more. Definitely worth seeing. Makes you wonder how far from fiction this will be in the near future.
