I mean, if I was a trouble maker or w/e why the hell would I care about these inmates yelling at me. Ok so they yell. Nobody can lay a finger on you. End of story. Id smirk my whole way through
shareI'll add to that about the not getting hit...it might not have been an inmate but at the courthouse when we had to be there early to go in the van...the main officer in charge was older and a tough s.o.b. There is always that one kid trying to be a showoff or be too hard to show he is tough. This kid was disrespecting the officer and I kid you not this cop smacked the crap outta him and yanked him like a ragdoll to the hallway for some "One on one"...I couldnt believe it. That kid was marked right then and there, the inmates made his tour there a living hell the whole time and made him cry. Wheter he straightened up after who knows?

I agree totally. This program is useless. We never seem to hear about the "success rate", do we? All it would take to completely blow an episode is for one kid to respond to a threat by saying "Go ahead..". The other kids would see it and wise up really quick. This is a TV SHOW. It's total crap. Maybe a few of the kids do get turned around, but I consider it the way I see all the Bigfoot shows. They are after ratings and money. Nothing ever really gets resolved. I am positive there are blown episodes that we never see. Here's a clip of a kid who basically called their bluff and got thrown out because the other kids were watching. He was about to blow the whole thing.

I agree. I think some kids end up doing well but those are the ones who weren't that bad to begin with, like the ones who just smoke pot here and there. They don't have a good success rate with the real bad kids, like the ones in gangs. That's because they are already gone at that age. You need to get these kids young, and you need to send the parents to remedial parenting classes, because they are usually screw ups too.
On the flip side, if I am an inmate in prison for LIFE without parole, and a JD mouths off...one more murder won't make a difference. So I question the effectiveness as well.

The cops or inmates are grabbing at the kid's faces or picking them up taking them to the floor. Spitting in their faces pretty much.
Can't blame them to much. The kids are douchebags.
