It's not that simple (well, for some of the viewers out there it may be, but they're low-hanging fruit). I didn't mind most aspects of this episode with the Gia character and liked them tackling the subject. But they botched it. They completely ignored women's rights, just like many so-called "woke" liberals are doing, discriminating against half the population in favor of the .01%. I agree with the anti-bullying message. Trans people should be treated just like everyone else, not ridiculed or held back because of who they are. But there are nature-based limits that are being completely ignored by ideological belief-based bias. Biological males should NEVER be allowed to play on a biological female sports team. Not if you want it to be a fair competition, anyway. Every example out there has only proven that it gives them an unfair advantage. So the messaging gets muddled and counterproductive when blending these aspects of the topic together. Half the population (i.e. women) are being marginalized as a result. For the vast majority of people it's not about hate for someone "other", or even being uncomfortable with them. For most, me included, the problem specifically stems from those who advocate for biological men, regardless of how they identify, to use a bathroom, locker room, play on a sports team, etc. designed for biological women.

This is where the show caved to peer pressure and botched how the subject was handled, doing itself no favors in the process.

And some people need to stop assuming that just because there is a diverse cast, that a show is automatically progressive and good. You can represent every color in the rainbow, but if the writing sucks because of overt agendas, the rainbow doesn't matter. That's the biggest problem with 'woke' writing. It comes off as cheesy as a Kirk Cameron flick. The characters become a mouthpiece for an agenda rather than follow their traits. So it becomes cliche and dull. People have problems with 'woke' movies the same way I have issues with marvel flicks. It's all so predictable that it becomes a waste of money and time.

Complaining about things being "woke" gives meaning to these miserable folk's lives. We can't take that from them.

The show's been cancelled now. Great job insulting anyone who CORRECTLY complained about the forced pandering in this crapfest! Brilliant strategy there, drive away viewers in droves.

And this is why the Dems lost the election.
