The actor playing Kay (Arthur's brother) should have played Arthur

Seems to have a lot more presence and charisma.

Its sad, King Geoffrey Baratheon of Game of Thrones is a lot more interesting of a watch than King Arthur of Camelot; and the former's character is written to be highly unlikeable which is in contrast to the latter.

Props to Gleeson but comparing that young kid to this young adult makes Bowery look bad as an actor.

I've just watched this series and I have to agree. I know Arthur was meant to be a young boy that turned into a King, but, JCB didn't even look like a boy - there is no way that the best Knights would be so loyal to him and the Kingdom unite for him. Arthur in BBC's Merlin was a boyish Prince that turned into a King, but, Bradley James is so brilliant in the part that there's no doubt anybody would follow his Arthur. Now that's a true King Arthur. Peter Mooney - Kay - had presence and charisma that would have truly inspired the Kingdom if he had been Arthur

watching the first episode and thinking the exact same thing

I just watched the first episode and don't think he has the presence of a lead. It would make a lot more sense of Fiennes was on the poster--Bower just stands around with his mouth open.

I love reinterpretations of the Arthurian legend, but am somewhat disappointed they were so abrupt with Uther and Arthur's conception. I'm not sure how many more episodes I'll watch.
