One of the worst films of the year

Just finished watching The Gray Man (2022) on Netflix. This big budget attempt at a blockbuster is bland, derivative, predictable and generic. It feels like a rip off of several other better action films. It fails to be entertaining or fun. The screenplay is cliched and poorly written. It has a good cast who try to do what they can with the material, but no one is able to save this thing. The Gray Man is one of the worst films of the year. My rating is a 4/10.

A 6 or 6.5/10 but no more than that. Entertaining but stupid at the same time. You could tell the Russo brothers weren't working with a Disney budget this time.

It should make everyone ponder where the money went - lol
IRS is sleeping

They had $200 million. That's a lot of money.

I guess it was spent in the wrong areas. There was one scene where the tram blows up and Gosling is running away from it. The CGI was a mess.

I agree that the film looks cheaper than you'd expect from a $200 million budget. But in case you missed the headlines, this is the most expensive Netflix film to date.

Agreed

No. It was really good. I hope they make a sequel.

Stevie Wonder is that you???

Considering you like about 80% of the stuff you've seen, this must really be bad.

reply

It is. For the record, I only like about 74 % of the stuff I have seen.
