Hailee is too ugly
To be playing Juliet. Let's be honest. She looks like a boy with make up and a wig sometimes. Those muddy small eyes... not a Juliet in my opinion.

While she isn't "drop dead gorgeous" she is still a pretty cute girl. I know the character Juliet is suppose to be alarming because she stands out from everyone at the Capulet ball in the play, but I don't think I would consider Steinfeld ugly.

I think Ms. Hailee was not ugly at all , I watched the movie with my wife and she praises her beauty which my wife seldom do, and I do think she was pretty and not ugly at all. She is a teenager and she has perfect body for that age.
never said she was ugly - i said she was pretty just not the right depiction of juliet. ( my opinion)
She looks alright, but she's not ugly. She isn't a very good actress though.

Oh come on now, her performance in True Grit was quite on par with Kim Darby's Mattie Ross. Different, but equally good.

Yes I agree. I think she is a cute girl. But I dont see her attractive enough for the role of Juliet.
Thankfully we still have Olivia's flawless face and portrayal to look at. :>
