I enjoyed this. Zendaya is very good here and Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor are effective in their roles, although they can't quite match Zendaya. The screenplay is sharp and smart and the way the story is told is interesting. It worked really well for me. A really good use of sound and music too. I would rank this as the 3rd best film of the year so far. Tennis is sexy now! 8/10 is my rating.

shareDune Part Two, Civil War, Love Lies Bleeding and Monkey Man are the best films of the year so far for me. Just finished watching Challengers and I didn't think much to it at all outside of the performances and the score so it's quite a bit of a letdown for me.
shareI actually hated the way the music was used in this. It often distracted from instead of enhancing the scenes, particularly during the tennis scenes. And the film is overrated. Okay I guess as a love story between two men but nothing special.
shareThis an excellent film. One of the best this year. I particularly liked Josh O’Connor - the bad boy. Such a different role than that of Prince Charles in The Crown.
