And somehow we ended up with lame PG-13 crap. I wish we could've seen that version of Venom.
shareI was not expecting a Deadpool-lite approach with Venom and I liked the last two better than expected. However, I would had loved it if they were darker and edgier. Especially if rated R.
shareThat latest trailer is god awful. They Deadpool'd the hell out of this. I've never seen such extreme anti-course correction. First they totally bungled Carnage and now whatever this is. And that fake out Knull teaser. He ain't gonna be in this movie.
shareI haven't seen the latest one, but I saw the first trailer again before Speak No Evil yesterday and it's just so unbelievably cartoonish and corny. They really aimed these movies at 10-14 year olds and nobody else.
shareIt was pure garbage wasn't it? I'll make a wild prediction that Knull will be in that one scene that we saw in the trailer and there will be a post-credit scene where Eddie goes to New York and meets Spider-Man. Sony will then have a Spider-Man and Venom team up film where Knull is the villain. Hopefully this film flops though and this crappy Venom-verse can end once and for all.
shareVenom was kind of a goofball in the comics. Maybe not to the extent of the movies but it doesn't just come from nowhere. I will say this one doesn't look as good as the first 2.
shareI think most of the actual comics fans were hoping for the R rated horror. Instead we got this kiddie cookie monster version of Venom. I was really shocked that it became such a bit hit at the box office. So of course, we got more of the same crap, only somehow even worse.
