One of the best Sci-fi/Fantasy in the last decade

Let me open with this movie is not for everyone - however, for those of you that enjoy the sci-fi/fantasy genre, then this is for you!!!

Great effects, great story-line, great acting, great plot, solid, well thought plot twists. (the Constantine reference/crossover is PERFECTLY done!!) [btw, that's no spoiler]

This isn't 'The Avengers', it isn't horror, isn't not even a lot of action. It's an AD&D campaign, complete with cantrips, spell components, curses and even the 'level' of a 'class' they meet.

[[Food for thought: If you wonder why it's so AD&D oriented ... the movie is based off of Vin Diesels AD&D character (yes he played) 'Melkor']]

love it too! pretty much for the game board (and videogame) mentality you mention.

free of useless cinema clichès, psychology and dialogue, just clever and original action. But that means if action too is hackneyed, i.e last-punch kungfu poses, then it's the end. I'm talking about instead clever use of the scene props, lore-rich gadgets and such (like what Vin does on the plane?)

I've always thought Diesel may believe that the carefree mentality of a videogame (make a mess) is better than boring cinema rules.

maybe the whole sequel of witch hunter should be shot with a steady cam behind Vin's back, wouldn't that break the rules, and piss the oldfolks off :D

THis movie was *beep* awesome. I loved it. I hate the rants it gets that you have to be a scifi fan to like it. No you doubt. A lot of it relates to a lot of different things. Like the witches and potions, paganism, even viking elements. You dont have to be a fan of those elements to understand the film and appreciate it.

I also hate the panning its getting and low box office turnout rate. Its pathetic.

Why am I such a misfit? I am not just a nitwit.
