Am I the only person who believes that Armie Hammer/ Clyde Tolson's makeup in the scenes depicting his later years was, to put put it mildly, unconvincing? Leonardo DeCaprio/J Edgar and Naomi Watts/ Helen Gandy clearly benefited from the services of proficient make up professionals (who were acknowledged in the credits). What went wrong with Armie/Clyde?

Yeah he was like a 90-year old Frankenstein monster walking around. Really strange. Di Caprio's old age look was distracting at first, but it sort of grew on me. However, Watts was the one on whom the make up artists did the best job - these wrinkles looked surprisingly natural.
