Who is your favorite Ninja?

Michael Dudikoff!
shareI haven't learned all of their names yet but I was really impressed with the guy from the small Alaskan village who trains the kids there. Another one I liked was the military veteran who, by his own admission, hit rock bottom after his wife left and took their sons with her. The way he choked up during his "up close and personal" bit before his run really touched me. Sad that he didn't make it up the wall.
I need to start taking notes so I can learn these people's names. They're all amazing, whether they finish the course or fall on the first obstacle.

I've always been a James McGrath fan. Even at the height of his popularity, he remained humble. Raging d-bags like Noah Kaufman who turn into egomaniacs when they get a little credibility in ANW irritate the crap out of me.
My feet have wings, barf bag.
Brent Steffenson is another one whose head seems to have gotten a bit bigger (at least from my point of view). I admit I was happy to see him crap out so quickly and effortlessly on "Broken Skull Challenge" but when Kacy was on a couple episodes later, she made it to Round 3.
Of the veteran competitors, I've always liked Joe Moravsky (The Weatherman) because he seems like a nice normal guy. Hopefully he'll stay that way.
I loved the weatherman last season, but I read a couple of interviews where he badmouths the show saying that the competitors should be getting paid, because viewers want to see them and that their personalities are the only reason people watch.
shareWell, crap! I hadn't heard that and now I can't unread it.
While I enjoy some of the personalities, other ones really annoy me... I watch to see them run the course. I'm not athletic at all so that's what interests me about this show... same with "Survivor" (I generally only watch the reward and immunity challenges and then change the channel until it's time for Tribal Council). I love "Broken Skull Challenge" because it's all about the athleticism and competition and there's very little of the dramatic "fluff" that clutters up most shows these days.
I think it's better to stay that way. American Ninja Warrior in many ways is like an Olympics. It tests you to the limit, very competitive but it won't pay you if you win, only a medal. Some nations will pay the athletes but most of their income comes from commercials.
Right now ANW is still in its budding stage. It's the only show in this genre (the spartan sucks). Every show has its limited budget. NBC can pay the star contestants, but I think it's better to spend their money on setting up new stage, getting new events ready and making the show better. There is just that much it can spend.
The contestants need to ask themselves they are doing for money or passion. The best you can get from the show is a little fame, nothing more. If the money is the reason you don't want to do the sport, then it's too bad. There are plenty of others would happily take your place.
Nah--Ive enjoyed these answers :D
