Wild Card Prediction

Los Angeles - Tiana 'Sweet T"

reply

John Lobbey to represent the older people.

reply

Philadelphia - Abel Gonzalez

reply

I expect that surprise failures in the City Finals will also get wild card spots.

reply

It was kind of funny seeing Lorin Ball go out the way he did. Even so, I would like to see him secure a wildcard spot assuming 25 or so are up for grabs

reply

Los Angeles city finals - Natalie Duran

reply

Yeah, she's the only one I can see getting a Wild card spot from the LA city finals.

reply

Atlanta Lucas Gomes and possibly Caleb Watson

reply

Caleb should def get one.

What am I gonna do... with a gun rack?

reply

No one from the Atlanta City Finals stood out to me, so I'd be ok if the save the Wild Cards for another city. But if they are going to give it to someone, then Lucas and Caleb are as good a choice as any.

reply

Okay, I just looked at the results from the

2016 Results (spoilers)
thread and I saw that Lucas Gomes was the only one in the Altanta Finals to make it to the Floating Monkey Bars and not make it to Vegas. So now, I would like him to get a Wild Card spot. The show can play up the whole brother vs brother angle.

reply

I just saw that they have been posting Wild Cards on the American Ninja Warrior Twitter page:

- Tory Garcia (LA)
- Tiana Webberly (LA) - Yay, we called it
- Natalie Duran (LA) - We called her too
- Erica Cook (Atl)

I will add others when they are posted.

reply

Lucas Gomes made it, although not as a Wild Card, someone from the Atlanta finals had to drop out and Lucas replaced him.

reply

What about Lorin Ball?

reply

Hell no.

Too full of himself and I was filled with delight when he failed the second obstacle.

There are much more deserving of a wildcard.

What am I gonna do... with a gun rack?

reply

Amen...much more deserving contestants than the show-off that is Lorin Ball...no way no how he deserves it, go home Lorin and maybe try to be a bit less show-offish next year...but alas, I truly enjoyed watching him fall in the water on the 2nd obstacle...

reply

I wouldn't give it to Lorin either.

Nobody in the bottom 15 really wowed me, maybe Brandon who got to the salmon ladder or PJ Granger who has been really good in the past.

reply

Add David Campbell to the list.

Or at least he better get one.

What am I gonna do... with a gun rack?

reply

Yeah, he has qualified for Vegas every previous Ninja Warrior, so I hope that they give it to him. I wonder if he would accept it, though. For someone who has qualified every single year, I wonder how he would feel about being a Wild Card.

reply

I doubt anybody turns down any opportunities with this show.

Oklahoma city finals
- Tremayne Dortch (16th place)
- David Campbell (Godfather) (17th place)

reply

Agreed. Tremayne Dortch and David Campbell. This Oklahoma course was pretty tough, making it up the salmon ladder was all that was needed to qualify for Vegas.
