Fiona... I just can't stand her.

i feel tired of Fiona. her complete lack of self control is infuriating and toxic to the rest of the family. i find myself frequently cheering for all the men she dumps on to flat out sock her in the face. how the entire neighborhood doesn't refer to her as the town tramp is beyond me. she probably gets around more than Svetlana. i just had to rant. that is all.

The writers are pulling a Weeds - where they make a character so unlikable that you just don't want to see him/her succeed. That's what happened to Nancy on Weeds for me. Now Fiona is starting to go that way.

She is a whore. Pretty simple. Lip is an a hole also but atleast he's funny sometimes. Plus ya, he's a guy so it's ok for him to be a whore. lol

It took me a while, but as I'm watching season 5, I'm really pissed she's throwing away her relationship with Gus for Sean. Sean is so bad for her. Gus seems sweet and we aren't really getting to know him because Fiona isn't even giving him a chance.

I think what you're talking about is a writing weakness, not a character weakness. The writers haven't given her much to do, especially in season six, besides repeatedly get married and enter into lots of strange relationships. Logically, though, this kinda makes sense, when you consider how close she was to Steve/Jimmy, who has a nasty habit of completely disappearing just when she feels safe. I'm hoping they'll allow her to explore career/ideas/options besides relationships. But yeah, the reason the neighborhood doesn't talk about her being the "town tramp" is because it's not 1950.

I know this thread is old but I wanted to share my opinions, too. I couldn't stand Fiona, either. Fiona, Frank, Debbie, and Monica were the worst characters. No, wait. I forgot to add Mickey's dad.
