Scots, how was Reynolds' accent?

I am usually unimpressed with most actors' Scottish accents. They generally seem to be trying too hard, but Mr. Whiskers sounded pretty natural to my American ears. Maybe Edinburgh-ish? How was his accent really?

Ha,I really thought that was the voice actor the whole time! Until I saw in the credits it was RR all along.
Btw thanks for giving me the name. I couldn't remember his name, would have bugged me all night.

I live in Edinburgh but I've only lived here for a year, for me it sounded good, for my roommate who's fully Scottish she thought it was alright but you could tell that it was someone trying to sound Scottish without being Scottish... She said she'd give it a 8/10

It was a decent effort for a non-Scot. It was obvious that he'd spent time listening to a real Scot (probably a Glaswegian, like me) to prepare for the role, but it wouldn't fool a native, unless they had a tin ear. Streets ahead of James Doohan, of course. :)

Mr Whiskers' voice reminded me of Robbie Coltrane for some reason, but yeah, it was a pretty decent Scottish accent. I'm Scottish, so I'm pretty sure I'd know 😁
