why does everyone hate it so much??

I just read some reviews, like metacritic and ebert and they trashed the movie. I know its not oscar material but it made me laugh throughout the movie. I almost always agree with general reviews , it shocks me that this one was different

Agreed that there some annoying things. The little girl, the cousin's accent to name two. But going to the extent of those poor grades???

The scenery is the only thing that saves this movie. Sandler movies are basically torture tests of unfunny.

I really enjoyed it. It is real strange for people to say things like they have hated every movie Sandler has made in ten years. They hate them but still go to see everyone that comes out. They like to see them just so they can bitch about them on the internet I guess.

He's done some really cool movies! If you ever get to see Spanglish, DO IT!!! You'll love his serious side...

Cause the movie sucks. The plot is awful! A surgeon who lied his whole life and still can't be slick about it. A teacher who is so dumb that she can't tell it's all bullSH*T. Adam's typical immature acting, even when playing a doctor. The whole movie was just ridiculous.

State champ in martial arts, trained with firearms, I eFF'n dare you!

I found this movie unexpectedly funny despite Adam Sandler's presence.

Everyone hates on Sandler these days, and I get it, his movies are silly and redundant. BUT, in the last few years, I'd say Just Go With It is one of his better movies. It's not overly cheesy (it's Sandler, obviously it will be somewhat cheesy) and I've seen it a few times and still laugh. Brooklyn Decker and Jennifer Aniston are nice pieces of eye candy, that helps.

This movie isn't too bad. I wish it had a better finale, though.

Funny movie, and it is based on another movie so people trashing the plot should blame Goldie Hawn and her role in Cactus Flower.

Very funny, entertaining movie. I think a lot of the backlash is towards Sandler. Sandler has become a modern day Jerry Lewis, and that sensibility doesn't play as as well today as it did in the 50s and 60s.

For throw backs like myself, I appreciate most of what Sandler does. (With a few exceptions.)

my first couple of viewings = 7/10 (which made it within my Top 211 movies basically)

as of my third viewing a moment ago (on Oct 24th 2016) = 6/10 (a mild Thumbs Up)

so while it took a decent hit, it's still one of Sandler's better movies as i had a fair amount of laughs etc.

p.s. Happy Gilmore (1996) (7.5-8/10) is THE movie ill always remember Sandler for.
