It was better than i anticipated. Should be around a 6.5 -7.

Now it's 5.6

I gave it 1 because it's the minimum, and I wrote the reason for that in my review.

In short, I watched the original movie in 1999 and I have to admit it was inventive, while BW is just an hyped copy with a bigger budget and new technology to appeal today's teenagers, but it's a hollow remake with NO NEW IDEAS whatsoever.

I fully understand why you hate the new one. I re-watched the original last Friday and it made me a bit angry to think about how poorly the new one was handled... They didn't even portray the witch as she was described in the 1999 film!

I don't really hate it, I find alarming that in the 17 years Hollywood is capable just of repeating itself...to a standard lower every year.

In 1999 EVERYBODY was crazy about BWP, I wasn't a worshipper but I have to admit the idea was fresh and unusual.

Now after all the shaky camera movies, paranormal activity, insidious etc...the concept is rotten.

I loved the original, It's one of the greatest horror films of all time in my opinion, I rated that 8/10.

I enjoyed this new one, It wasn't as good as the original but I'd rate it 6.5/10, It's nowhere near as bad as some people say it is, It's a decent film.
