what are some other good horror movies stylistically similar to this?

It seems that almost every horror movie I have seen over the past 20 years has either been a comedy-horror in the style of SCREAM or torture porn like HOSTEL. I don't really like either of those things, I always found the emphasis on jokes in movies like SCREAM to be misplaced (I want to be scared when watching a horror movie, not amused) and I find torture porn movies to be repugnant.

That is why I loved this movie so much - full on horror, no comedy, but the horror comes from the mood and reactions rather than gore and over the top violence! I loved it! what are some other good horror movies that are not comedy-horror or torture porn? preferably similar in style to this!

If you like found footage style horror you should definitely check out VHS. It's on Netflix and it's very interesting and scary.

Some other ones I would recommend are The Conjuring, Lights Out, and Oculus.
