Nice to see at least they didn't rely on the tired old trope of the two girls ripping each other apart because one cheated with the other's boyfriend... They deal with it like grown ups instead.
Very nice actresses too.

No. tropes and cliches are not the same thing. Cliches are tired. Tropes are just literary devices that are used often because, surprise, they work.
