How did Alpha pick who to take?

Was it all just random picks of whoever they found alone?

Cause i get Henry to get back at Lydia, The Highwaymen tried to save them so they killed them, i get Tammy Rose cause Alpha heard her talking about the baby they took from them, i get Tara cause she was the leader of Hilltop.

But the ones that confuse me are the teenagers, why take them? and Negan's former wife Frankie and Enid, i don't get why Alpha chose them.

Targets of opportunity most likely. The teens were easier to lure away from large groups. Henry was off by himself looking at that leaky pipe in the basement. Enid was a doctor, so maybe some version of "we've got an injured man over here". Tara was probably taken because she spotted something suspicious and was about to sound the alarm. There had to be more than one Whisperer. Alpha was going for Lydia, I think she just told each of her people to get someone, x number of warm bodies to sacrifice is what mattered - which ones not so much. Everybody has loved ones who will be devastated when they don't come back. Thus delivering the message.

maybe the teens because they saw them giving Lydia a hard time before

But only one of the two boys was taken. And what did Addy do?

reply

I thought she took the teens and Tara because they were a threat to her daughter's safety. But if that's the case why take Henry except for revenge. I think Enid because she saw her with Alden when she returned him and wanted to twist the knife a little more.
