I think they have killed off too many characters.

I think they took the "who will live, who will die" ploy too far. At some point if you kill off too many loved characters or too many loved characters leave fans lose interest. Carol and Daryl are all that are left. Rick is gone....apparently Maggie, Carl, Glenn, Lorie, Shane, Sasha, Sofia, T-dog, Andrea, her sister, Dale, Hershel, Beth, Abraham, Morgan, his son plus tons of others they have befriended. I don't think Enid, Rosita, Eugene and Ezekiel and little Judy can carry the show. I just don't care that much about these characters.

They have gotten rid of too many characters.

Oh no they kills my favvy character :(((

Try 30 of them.

95% of the characters are horribly written. The only character worth anything is Carol as she is a badass. Daryl lost his edge and is about as useful as a chocolate fireplace.

I am all for shaking things up and introducing new people. I don't know if it's really viable to have a cast larger than they currently have so they need to kill people off.

Carol is also ridiculous and horribly written. Like really, she just poured gas on everyone in that camp and burned them alive just like that? Wow. What a super ninja lady.

reply

She has killer instinct and knows how to survive. That can't be said for most of the pansies in this show. Those people in that camp were pieces of shit. I'd do the same. If you don't check arseholes, they won't know they're arseholes.

Here's an interesting follow up (in my opinion), half a dozen or so the characters who play major roles in the Whisperer storyline in the comics are already dead on the show: Dr. Carson, Sophia, Andrea, Carl, Olivia, Jesus, among others
Also Rick & Dwight are gone as well.

Dwight and Sherry we may see again, if they decide to come back from their infinite honeymoon.

Rick also I think we'll eventually see the equivalent of the walking governor episodes from season 4. Maybe as part of season 10. They took him somewhere in that helicopter of theirs. I'm guessing there's a city or other high tech paradise still going somewhere that needs labor - and the ruling elite prefers others to fill that role (as long as it isn't them). Maybe we'll see Rick organize a rebellion against the leadership and get the heroic death he deserves in the process. He must be dead by the time of the show's new present because he'd never stay away so long otherwise.

I think Henry is going to assume some of Carl's storylines from the comic, including the romance with Lydia (who will be brought to Hilltop after her capture rather than Alexandria). Others will fall to Judith. Just like they came up with the character of Enid to replace Sophia, who met her tragic end at Hershel's farm on the show but remains alive and well in the comic (as does Carl). Judith was never much of a character in the comic. She died in the final assault on the prison by the Governor. So her entire story is a deviation from the graphic novel timeline. It looks like the actress currently playing her will stay in that role indefinitely, and grow up on screen just like Chandler.
