He's really been locked up for over 6yrs? Have these idiots forgotten all the cruelty he exhibited? He only bashed in a couple of loved ones, and terrorized the whole town. So he sits there as a drain on resources, and you let your daughter talk to this maniac?
Carl and Rick. Not only that but the last episode showed Judith having casual conversation with Negan. That really bothered me, considering that Michonne is supposed to the responsible adult role model here.
The way I look at it, the reason we do not have the death penalty in places where there is enough resources to keep someone alive AND there is an unequal enforcement of the law.
In my opinion the death penalty is reasonable, and probably important for someone like Negan. He could be looked at as the Hitler of the zombie apocalypse, and we would never have let Hitler have life in prison.
There are just certain things about TWD that are fake and a real problem when you think about them. I don't even know why I watch this silly show, except that it was originally kind of fun and I got to like the characters, but it hurts every time I see something stupid on the show .. and that is a lot and multiple times in every episode.
The idea that keeping someone alive in a cell is worse punishment than death is to imply that people are in prison for punishment, or even torture as the UN and scientific studies have shown that solitary confinement is torture, and inhuman. The real humanistic argument here is to first decide what crimes are worthy of capital punishment, and then ensure that the conviction process is fair and solid, and then make the execution process painless and humane - just get rid of these people.
well Negan wanted Maggie to kill him so he can be with his dead wife. If he kills himself. he goes to hell.. if he believes in heaven and hell.. SO that is what Negan wants so they won't give that to him..
Cause Negan's the most entertaining charismatic character left on the show and Jefferey Dean Morgan steals every scene he's in. Plus he's still alive in the comics so they're going by that as well.
