Just Die Already!!!! (Spoilers)

Did any one else finally yell that at the screen? That was the most excruciatingly long and drawn out death "scene" I can recollect. It was made worse by my dislike of the character, but come on. That was like nails on a chalkboard.

It was made even more pathetic by the writers attempt to undo their Santa Rick future scenes. It was like the finale of Roseanne. No, no, no....it's not real, it was imaginary.....This is an absolute new low in television writing in general.

And I guess it was too much to get rid of Carl more quickly, so we could touch on the Oceanside storyline? Of course....that will be its own drawn out episode.

I just watched the episode. God, what a tedious, snoozefest. It's sad that that episode was Carl's last episode. Episode 8 should have been his send-off, he spends the episode dealing with the saviours until Rick returns then reveals he was bitten, last ten minutes of episode 8 should have just been Carl saying "Bye, dad, Michonne and Judith. P.S. Don't kill Negan, cos you can make a better world working together than against each other" Bang and dead.

An entire hour dedicated to Carl, pale-faced and slowly dying as he says his goodbyes was just ridiculous and overkill.

The episode is way better if Carl's scenes are skipped until he starts talking about the kid he shot at the prison, and then the last scene.

I eventually lost patience after close to an hour. I like Carl, but his scene was overdrawn and needed to be edited down. Still this episode was an improvement over the last few which had been completely boring.

Wow...what a bunch of douchebags.

I imagine just about everyone was shouting that well before it was over. Even the show's biggest die-hards would have to concede that was ridiculous. In my write-up, I compared it to the slow-motion death gags in POLICE SQUAD. Except TWD isn't in on its own joke.

Indeed, that whole death sequence was excruciatingly drawn-out, cheesy, and annoying.

It reminded me of that Doctor Who episode where he went on a farewell tour before he died
