Did any one else finally yell that at the screen? That was the most excruciatingly long and drawn out death "scene" I can recollect. It was made worse by my dislike of the character, but come on. That was like nails on a chalkboard.

It was made even more pathetic by the writers attempt to undo their Santa Rick future scenes. It was like the finale of Roseanne. No, no, no....it's not real, it was imaginary.....This is an absolute new low in television writing in general.

And I guess it was too much to get rid of Carl more quickly, so we could touch on the Oceanside storyline? Of course....that will be its own drawn out episode.

I got tired of them stretching out Carl's death after the first half hour. I paused the TV and went and finished my laundry while I waited for my DVR to log the rest of the show so I could fast forward through it.

The only part that wasn't milked for every last drop of treacly emotion was Daryl's goodbye: "you saved us, kid, good work." Bye!"

I was already watching on a delay, and FFing through the commercials and still couldn't take it.

It didn't help that I was already soured by that pathetically overhyped "deleted" scene from the mid season finale. They advertised that like it was the Holy Grail of lost footage, and it was a complete and utter waste of time.

I would have gladly watched a ten-hour episode of ST:TNG if Wesley Crusher died slowly and painfully.

Short of the entire cast dying in the same way, that would have been just about the only way to make TNG entertaining.

It would have been OK had they actually had a point and the writing to go with whatever was happening, but they just kept droning on and on. Carl was an idiot to get caught like that ... who wants to die doing something stupid?

I don't know, the Tyreese episode was pretty drawn out too. But for this one, it was especially annoying because they went to commercial break after nearly every scene. I'm watching it on a delay from now on.

YUP, never have I wanted anyone to die so hard in the past. except for that Lori dying during childbirth episode but in my defense I was drunk as hell and overreacting a little :D :D :D.

I think I might have audibly wished Cooooorrrrl to die several times during this episode.

But but... IT'S CARL. He needs to have 3 episodes for him to reminisce about his past and present as the infection slowly eats away at him. He should also jerk off to see what his cum looks like as he turns into a zombie (probably yellowy orange).
