I'll be kinda sad when they eventually kill Negan
Negan makes the governor look like a big teddy bear.Their gonna have a tough time finding someone as menacing as him for their next enemy.Jeffrey Dean Morgan set the bar pretty damn high.

shareHes awesome and i bet hell be around for a long time
shareIf the TV show adheres to the storyline in the comic (which it has about 85% of the time), then you won't need to prepare yourself to say goodbye to Negan for awhile.
But regardless of whether Negan is killed or not when this "war" finishes, I'm done with being a viewer of The Walking Dead at that point.
Someone on Reddit who knew the comic storyline said that Rick eventually
makes an unlikely pact with Negan and they actually work together. Rick hasn't gone bad, but it's Negan who decides to cooperate.
I kind of had a sick feeling when I read this (assuming it's true). Not a fan of the TV version of this character. Not fun to watch. So Negan will be around for a long time and pals with Rick in the next 2-3 seasons?

It is, indeed, true.
shareAMC has big plans for Negan. :)
shareI wish they'd give him a spin-off show like Talking Dead...
Maybe call it Making Dead: He could have 3 guests from the series on each episode. Then at the end, he'd bring out Lucille and walk around all of them whistling before bashing one of their heads in.
Or maybe even two of them.
Aw hell, why stop there? All three!
I was thinking more along the lines of Rick pretending to kill Negan in the final episode of the season, Alexandria, Hilltop, and the Kingdom all believe him to be dead, everyone's happy, and then JUST before the credits roll the camera pans down, through the floorboards of Rick's house, and we discover that Negan is not only alive, but he's locked in a cage in Rick's basement!
shareYeah, I have a feeling it will go down a lot like that. They went through the trouble of having Morgan build the cell, they can just have Rick put him in the cell and forget about him for most of the episodes since only he (and maybe a couple others) knows about it. Whatever they do in future episodes would depend on how much and for how long JDM wants to stay involved with the show. But they could go a whole season and have just 2 or 3 Negan scenes before they either have to write him out or bring him back into the main cast.
shareThat's a hoot! Actually I can't stand the character. He's a buffoon and a cartoon. in the comics it's acceptable. It does not translate to the TV show.
shareDoes he have an explanatory backstory or more importantly, is there any sense of motivation for his actions in the comics (even just someone who knows him explicitly stating he was once diagnosed with some form of Antisocial Personality Disorder?). I'm asking this in this thread because I expect his fans should know, as opposed to his critics in other threads.
shareYes, a sufficient explanatory backstory . If you want to find out, his backstory is explored by Robert Kirkman in his
16 part series entitled "Here's Negan". This is a graphic novel of 16 parts, each about 4-5 pages. You can actually read these on Youtube. The first is "Here's Negan 1"
I won't be. I like JDM, but Negan could die tomorrow, and I'd be happy!
shareTime to move on already. The show is a complete bore.
shareFor me it's the other way round. I can't wait for this stupid arc to end. I really dislike JDM and I find his Negan absolutely abysmal. Worst actor on the show right now and worst villain portrayal ever.
shareAgree with you wholeheartedly! He is a joke. TPTB paid a lot of money for him, so I guess we are stuck for a long while.
