I really don't understand why it is hated soo much

I heard a lot of bad reviews, it sounded like it's the one of the worst movies ever. Well, it's definitely not The Godfather, it's more like an okay movie, but all in all I was entertained by it. I liked the characters, the story was simple, there was even some humour in it, and the CGI was okay, it definitely wasn't actively bad.
I gave the movie a 6 out of 10.

Is anyone on a similar opinion?

It doesn't work as a film because the acting is bad, the plot is bad, the dialogue is bad, the effects are bad. Without taking into account the FF or super powers, the movie feels empty, the actors looked bored, the movie feels unfinished, it builds and builds towards something that doesn't happen. It's just a bad film.

It doesn't work as a fantastic four movie. It appears as if someone wrote a different movie altogether and then tried to pigeonholed the FF in it. In this movie there are zero chemistry between the actors, they looked bored, they don't even resemble a team or a future one, their interactions and dynamics are just off. They don't resemble the FF.

It doesn't work as a comic book movie because 99% of the movie nothing happens, they spend most of their time inside laboratories where they either build something or are being lab rats. They get to use their powers for 5 minutes and that's it. Overall the movie is long, tedious and boring.

I think it's a pretty darned bad movie. Not the worst film ever made by any means, but most definitely bad. Although it had a few good bits and pieces, it just doesn't come together at all, and the production troubles are blatantly obvious when watching it.

That being said, as a big movie-guy (and someone who does enjoy viewing bad movies to analyze them... and riff on them with friends), it's an interesting watch and I think it's worth viewing at least once for people who are interested in film and film production. Mainly just as an exploration of how things can go wrong and how a troubled production can impact a film.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

This movie is awful, but it's not Josh Trank's fault. He actually made a good version of the movie, and Fox told to reshoot the whole movie. And if you still don't believe he is a good director, just go and watch Trank's Chronicle. That was a freaking awesome movie.

Although I didn't really hate it, I did feel that it was an incredible let down. The story, action and pace of the movie were incredibly slow...more so than a superhero movie should be. Victor VonDoom was poorly placed and when it came to the final fight (the only fight) it was over. No big finale...just over.

If they had trimmed about 45 minutes of (not very much) character building then I could at least say I was entertained a little better. The dynamic between the team (as compared to the comics) was missing. You want to see how they should behave around each other? Watch Fantastic Four *2005* Although not a perfect movie either, I felt that that movie at least got the characters and their personas right.

If they make a sequel to this movie then they had better retool the characters a little (lot) better than this.

I don't read the comics so I don't really care about the lore or how closely it followed the comics, but I thought it felt disjointed. The whole origin part took up way too much of the movie and was pretty boring (although it did have a few fun parts in there) and the final fight at the end was pretty lame compared to other comic book movies. I did like the cast though and it's too bad they wasted on a movie like this, I rated it 5/10. It wasn't the worst movie I've seen but it wasn't that good either

Bit same for me as read a lot of bad about this and watched few reviews quite decided, ill skip watching that one then but today out of boredom decided to watch it and it was ok, definitely not as bad as was awaiting it to be, quite think it might be because was waiting it to suck badly and in the end it was just ok. Sure there was lots of wrong also movie didn't really show the budged in the screen... looked a lot cheaper one.

Really didn't like how they portrayed Dr Doom in this :( he is cool villain and in this he was quite sad thing to see.

Looks like I am in the minority, but I liked this better then the version from 10 years ago. I thought the story was interesting and I enjoyed they really didn't play much into romantic relationships(something that bothers me in many comic book movies). If I had to find one negative it would be the ending was rather underwhelming, it basically just felt like they could have added an extra 5-10 minutes of the F4 being on the Zero planet, I guess they could have also given us a little info of Doom's time on planet Zero somehow

I thought it was pretty good, but I was expecting it to be horrible. My wife even liked it and she doesn't usually watch super hero films.

I thought the movie was very decent until the gang traveled to the alternate dimension. From there, it didn't feel to me like the story had any real purpose.

I'm surprised the rating is as low as it is. It's not great but it's not that bad. I really don't know why people were expecting so much from this film to begin with.

The last twenty minutes was complete rubbish and felt like it was written in five minutes and slapped on at the last second. That dragged it down a lot, but up until then, it wasn't worse than the Green Lantern.

Are you familiar with who the Fantastic Four are? They were Marvel's first superhero title in the 1960s, launching their new line of superhero comics that soon gave us Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Avengers. Marvel has been wanting the rights back for years, and this was clearly made just so they could extend their option on those rights.

And did they give the fans a movie that said, "Hey, maybe we can do something great with these characters?" No. We got a half-baked sci-fi flick with a clearly restrained budget. In return, the movie was not a box office success.

That dragged it down a lot, but up until then, it wasn't worse than the Green Lantern.

And again, saying the movie wasn't as bad or any worse than another movie isn't pointing out anything in its favor.

Yes, I'm familiar with the Fantastic Four. Are you familiar with Hollywood? What were you expecting?

It's not pointing out anything against it either. It was mediocre. Get over it and move on.

Yes. I've read up plenty and even have friends in the industry.

A better movie than the studio's last two movies based on this property.
