I heard a lot of bad reviews, it sounded like it's the one of the worst movies ever. Well, it's definitely not The Godfather, it's more like an okay movie, but all in all I was entertained by it. I liked the characters, the story was simple, there was even some humour in it, and the CGI was okay, it definitely wasn't actively bad. I gave the movie a 6 out of 10.
Except it did win worst movie of the year. Do you want a complete list of why it was bad? There is also an entire timeline of what went wrong with the movie you can check out on here.
What I find amusing is that he has read enough "bad reviews" on this board but call him a foxholmer and he has no idea what you are talking about. As though he has read page after page of how much people hate this movie, so much so that he almost didn't watch it (as seen in the other thread), but all the people that have repeatedly made threads defending this POS movie and calling the MCU "kiddie" over and over, he just completely passed over those threads and has no clue what you're talking about, "What is this "foxholmer" you speak of?" As if he's doing the Phil Hartman caveman lawyer bit from SNL.
Obvious contrarian troll is obvious, and contrarian. And deserves to be ridiculed for the attempt. I cast ridicule upon thee troll, RIDICULE, and SHAME, may they forever be upon thee. (I need to go to bed now I'm beginning to speak in old timey English like I'm in Asguard or something.).
Okay, I'm trying to understand what is going on here. So, since it was Fox that made Fant4stic, a foxholmer (shouldn't it be a "foxhomer" by the way?) is someone who, for some odd reason, has an emotional connection to Fox, so will defend any *beep* Fox movie on IMDb, even if it's the worst thing ever? Do I understand it right? Because if I do, this is the silliest thing I've ever heard, and if you really mean it, I gotta tell you, you seriously need some help. :D
By the way, I didn't read the bad reviews on this site, I heard them from movie reviewers on youtube mostly. And I don't give a *beep*, whether a movie is made by Marvel, DC, Fox or any other studio. This MCU/DC/fanboy whathever talk is the most ridiculous and childish thing ever. Who cares if a movie is made by Marvel, DC or Fox? Because I don't. I just want to see good movies, that's all!
Ok, I'm willing to assume you have genuine motives, Reznik. No, it wasn't the worst movie ever. I doubt any of us have ever seen the worst movie ever, because it was so bad it disappeared long ago. Unless it was Manos Hand of Fate. For me, the worst big budget movie of recent years was Noah. I gave it a two. FF on the other hand I gave a 4. For the record, have you ever read the comic book or seen the other movies?
In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.
I never read the FF comic books, and I didn't see the earlier movies either, but I knew the concept, I had seen images of the characters, and I'm pretty sure I saw some episodes of the TV show when I was a kid.
Alright, I'll try giving you the benefit of the doubt as well. Let me start by saying, Stockholm syndrome is a real thing, Google it, so no it should not be foxhome syndrome. It is a jokey term used to describe fox fans that have been abused so much they now defend the studios bad decisions like their life depended on it. Why something that is obviously a joke would make you sad, well, I'm not sure but saying I need help because you don't get my sense of humor, that others on this board do (I'm not the one who started calling them that but I did think it was mildly humorous) , says more about you then me.
Second, had you bothered to backtrack a little, you would see that for months people that have had rational and calm discussions about the quality of this film have been relentlessly badgered by said "foxholmers" until they, (myself included) have reached a point where anyone who shows up on the board that supports the movie, is doubted as being an actual account/ real person. 4 or 5 people have created multiple sock accounts, in an effort to do some kind of odd ritual where they start reasonable discussions, as if they are going to change people's minds about a bad movie, and then when they don't, they start with name calling, childish insults and racial/sexual slurs. And while you may have felt personally attacked by my Shame and ridicule comment, you will see that I only attacked you're taste in film/my suspicions about whether or not you are one of those fake accounts I mentioned. I did not call you childish, I did not insult you, nor did I attack your sexuality/preferences. So I will take responsibility for being a little "trigger happy" maybe your just a regular dude that stumbled on to a bigger argument then you realized. If so, I apologize. I still think you have bad taste in movies, but I'm sorry if I came off as rude.
Third, most of us here, even on YouTube from what I've seen, don't think it's the worst movie ever. Some have argued that it's the worst comic book movie ever, and that's a debatable point, (aren't all points debatable really?), some have argued it's the worst comic book film in the modern era of CBM's, (I fall in that category and honestly maybe even worst ever depending on how my mood is that day, and it's been a while since I've seen Catwoman.), it's also been said that it's the worst movie of 2016, along with 50 shades. The reality is, its not the worst movie ever made, that would be a silly claim, but if you go in expecting the worst movie ever, it's gonna be way better then you expect, if however you go in expecting a good Fantastic Four movie, you're gonna be disappointed. A good CBM?, again disappointed. A good movie?, again disappointed. It's dull boring and plods along worse then a German black and white student film. You say it had humor, but as we established earlier your sense of humor and mine varies greatly, but the only thing even remotely funny was MBJ's quips as Johny, and to me they just weren't funny and that last one, "The thing nobody wanted", was just mean spirited and nasty.
If what your saying is true, you should be grateful for all those bad reviews, they are what made the movie "good" for you, for the rest of us that wanted a good FF film, we got screwed.
Alright, I'll try giving you the benefit of the doubt as well. Let me start by saying, Stockholm syndrome is a real thing, Google it, so no it should not be foxhome syndrome. Let me start with this: Being a fan of any studio (Marvel, Fox, Warner, DC, Paramount, whatever) is something I simply cannot relate to. I keep seeing comments under youtube movie review videos, as one person calls someone else a "DC fanboy" because they're saying something positive about a DC movie. The same thing with Marvel movies. For me the whole phenomenon is stupid. So I don't agree with being a fan of any studio, and judging movies based on that, but putting other people in a box, because they like a certain movie is pretty much the same thing. Also, I checked your account, and you've been commenting on the Fant4stic message board for 6 months! It's like you can't get over it, it seems like you're on a mission to bash this movie. Which is your call, you have a freedom to do it, I just think it's not normal. If a movie is bad, you don't need to keep proving it.

What I got from the reviews I had heard is that the movie was a disaster. I actually kept postponing watching it, because I'm fine watching a movie so bad that it's actually good, but I don't want to waste my time watching something that's just plain bad. But finally yesterday I decided I would watch it anyway, and we'll see. And not being a hardcore comic book fan or a F4-fan, I really felt that the hate it got is way too excessive. Actually there was nothing about it that was specifically bad. The acting was fine, the plot was simple, some of the special effects were actually good (but there were also some that were definitely not good). I can also think of two scenes right now that was funny: First, when Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan ended up fist fiving, of course it's not a huge joke, just a funny little gag, but it did make me laugh. The other one was the very end when they tried to figure out a name for themselves. That was so campy that it was actually funny, and I'm pretty sure the makers of the movie knew it too, and that's what they meant.

Actually this was the first movie that I actually felt like joining a discussion on in spite of being registered for 9 or 10 years. After joining this particular conversation I found that I actually like a few of the posters on this board. I would name names but that would feel too much like a five year old naming their new friends that they made at school today. And you may say, that's well and good but why don't you comment on any other movies where the same people hang out? Well, I have severe OCD when it comes to certain things, primarily spoilers, in regards to this particular conversation, you see I don't want to have BVS spoiled because I went over to that board to chat. I don't want my Civil War experience ruined because I learned of some behind the scenes shenanigans. So I won't even look at other boards until I've caught up and actually seen those movies. I did try commenting on the Agents of Shield board a few times but I missed a week, then couldn't catch up, needless to say I now avoid that board and am in a situation where I gotta watch hours and hours of Tv before I can watch season 2 of Daredevil let alone see Civil War. I did see Star Wars and thought about joining that discussion but I seemed to be in the minority on that board in so much as I liked the movie, so I kept my yap shut. So yes, I freely admit to being a freak, not the kind you've deemed me to be but yes I am odd. All that being said, I also realize that fewer and fewer people actually care about Fant4suk, and my on line conversations on IMDb are getting further apart. And I do have every intention of finally watching all the things I'm behind on, it is a chore that I can't really devote time too atm. Whereas, chatting on the FF board, only takes a few moments of my time. (I can type while I'm on the potty if a feel like it. ) so while you look at it as spending six months bashing a movie that doesn't deserve it, I look at it as something to do while I sh!! The same motive that makes you feel is not worth someone's time, is the same one I use as an excuse to keep doing it.
But I do gotta point out, while I might have been premature in suspecting you of being a troll, I did apologize for that. You have kinda been a little rude yourself. But perhaps I've just read some of your words the wrong way and misinterpreted them. The subtleties of human speech are so difficult to pick up over text after all. So perhaps we should stop discussing our personal differences and stick to the movie. So that's the last I'll say about any of that.
What I got from the reviews I had heard is that the movie was a disaster. I actually kept postponing watching it, because I'm fine watching a movie so bad that it's actually good, but I don't want to waste my time watching something that's just plain bad. As I said, our senses of humor are two vastly different creatures apparently. As for the hardcore fan part, that I most definitely am. I'm more of a DC comic guy but love comics in general. When you take that into account the movie is a big middle finger to the source material. And again I will restate, while you say there was nothing inherently bad, I disagree. It just wast a good movie, not from a major studio. If it was a direct to DVD movie made to cash in on the big budget Fantastic Four movie, in the vein of Transmorphers and Snakes on a Train, then sure, it's not an awful rip off, although it would have needed much more TnA for the direct to video market. But as a big budget movie that cost $120 million plus the cost of reshoots... It left a lot to be desired. There are only two major locations, Planet X and the basement of the Baxter building. You say the CGI was decent but if you rewatchable it you will see that the Thing actually changes size throughout the movie. Then there is the script.... Why was the teacher such an ass? He would have been fired for treating any student that way let alone one who actually passes all the tests, which Reed would. Why is racing cars such a dangerous lifestyle choice? It's actually a mainstream career choice these days. Why does Doom want to destroy the earth? Cause they'll destroy Planet X next? So why not just destroy the teleporter and or Reed since he's the only one he knows can make another one. And lastly the wig..... There is no excuse for that wig to be that noticeable in a major studio motion picture. They could have used CGI and it would have looked better then that wig on Mara's head.
You say it wasn't as bad as everyone says but I still maintain that you are looking through rose tinted glasses because you had the benefit of knowing it was awful before hand and you got to be pleasantly surprised when it didn't meet those expectations. But that doesn't mean that the movie is good either. It just means your expectations were low.

As I said, our senses of humor are two vastly different creatures apparently.
Well, that's just life. I can appreciate different kinds of humour.
I'm more of a DC comic guy but love comics in general. When you take that into account the movie is a big middle finger to the source material.
I accept that, but not being a comic fan myself that doesn't bother me.
But as a big budget movie that cost $120 million plus the cost of reshoots... It left a lot to be desired.
I did have the sense too, while watching the movie, that it doesn't have that grandiose atmosphere about it like most of the big budget comic book movies (which actually did have a bigger budget by the way: Age Of Ultron 250 million, Man Of Steel 225 million, TDKR 250 million, Winter Soldier 170 million). That is one of the reasons I didn't give it a 7 or an 8.
Why was the teacher such an ass? He would have been fired for treating any student that way let alone one who actually passes all the tests, which Reed would.
Why was he an ass, you mean after Reed blew up the backboard? I think the teacher was jealous because Reed was smarter than him. I see no problem in picturing a teacher like that in a comic book movie. And by the way, how do you know he was not fired later? The movie doesn't tell us anything about that, because it's not important.
Why is racing cars such a dangerous lifestyle choice? It's actually a mainstream career choice these days.
The guy just had an accident, broke his arm, and from their conversation you can assume that probably he had already had issues prior to that. We also know that he was using his father's money, so it was a normal parental reaction telling his son to earn the money he needs for fixing the car by working for him.
Why does Doom want to destroy the earth?
Earlier in the movie Victor already expressed his view on the condition of the world, how it's heading towards destruction and how the world doesn't deserve to be saved. You could definitely tell that Victor already had a dark side, even before becoming Doom, and just like in real life, in movies it can also happen that a major shock will push a person into one of two directions: they will either become better or worse. Eventually they will be a hero or a villain (especially in a superhero movie!). In Victor, after the major shock (being left behind in the other dimension) darkness prevailed, so what earlier was only a theory in his mind (the world deserves the destruction it's heading towards), now became the reality: he himself became a tool for destruction.
The other faults you mentioned, like the size of the Thing or Kate Mara's wig, I simply didn't recognize those.

Those were just a few of the problems I saw off the top of my head. There were more but the bigger issue was that to me it wasn't a FF movie and all those little things that you would normally ignore became big issues as I looked for something to like but instead found more and more to not like. What it boils down to is, if you're looking for a FF movie, this is the worst movie ever, if you're not, well it's a poor sci fi movie that doesn't look like the $120 million plus spent on it. Worst movie in all of existence, no, worst Fantastic Four movie, yes. Worst CBM, debatable. But I've gone over that previously.
Reznik, this is why no1 comes to this board anymore. There is a certain group of virgins that grew up with no friends, and they camp out on this board(daily). They are all millenals as you can tell because they love the avengers so much. If they were late 20s/ older they wouldn't be this obsessed with the avengers because no1 gave a shlt about them in the 90s and before. You've had the pleasure of meeting most of them already.
Basically, if anyone expresses a positive thought about this film, they get beyond sensitive and lose their minds. It's actually quite funny to see just how upset they get that someone else could actually enjoy this movie. This movie wasn't that bad.
Before you make friends you may wanna check posting history. Your new buddy there is the one I was talking about that resorts to accusations about sexuality and the like. He's one of the reasons people get so defensive on this board. His use of the term virgins should have tipped you off.
Relax child. I haven't been on here for a loooong time. Looks like you guys are STILL here. It's really not my fault you don't know how to make real life friends so you stick to this message board. I'm not the one who has a welcoming committee of virgins that harass any new poster. That's you and your weirdo compadres. Just look at the responses this dude got ALL FROM SAYING HE DOESNT UNDERSTAND WHY ITS HATED SO MUCH. That's it. That's all he said. And I'm the troll? You claim to be OCD but you might just be mentally challenged.
Fair point. But you might wanna look at the response I just got from him. It's stuff like that that explains my reaction to your first post far better then I can. Matter of fact when I first showed up on this board I actually used to defend him and his right to have his own opinion to the other posters. Then he got mean. It's him and a few others that have ruined it for anyone that does honestly not hate this movie and wants to express their opinions on this board. But like I said, I'm sorry if I wrongfully fenced you in as a sock account.
So let me get this straight, you haven't been here in months, I haven't attacked you personally by your own admission, and you decide to come back and attack me personally because I may have overreacted to a guy, that I've already apologized too. But I'm the "specially challenged". Seems to me one of us is a jerk, to put it as politely as possible. But I guess I'm the one in the wrong here.
Of course I better watch myself or you might challenge me to one of your imaginary internet fights.
Because your spouting BS. Why did you apologize to him in the first place? Because you overreacted like a weirdo. Which is my EXACT point about this place. I honestly do appreciate that you actually manned up and apologized, none of your other "friends" on here would do that. But your first instinct, the overreaction, THATS why this place is the worst board on this site. And look at the other responses from these losers you claim to not be trolls. If this was any other board, who would you consider the troll, the guy wanting to talk about the film or the guy who hates it and camps out to diss everyone that does like it? Because here in normal people land, the latter is the troll.
him and a few others that have ruined it for anyone that does honestly not hate this movie and wants to express their opinions on this board.
This quote right here is ridiculous. It's the most backwards way of thinking I have ever seen. "How dare someone interrupt our daily blasting of this movie" GTFO.
It's a perfectly valid response to voice negative opinions about something you care passionately about. As I said after looking at the SWTFA board I saw I was in the minority of actually liking it. That doesn't mean I felt compelled to call any of the virgins or cast homosexual slurs in their direction. You have done both of those things. And as I said, when I first showed up here I was nothing but cordial to you and it was you who was an ass. I responded in kind, and I've still been more respectful toward you then you have of me. You've called me a virgin, you've said I'm "special ", you've been nothing but rude. And honestly it's how you always act, so to act innocent now and blame everyone else for being "trolls" is just dishonest on your part. Not one of my posts has ever had to be moderated for abuse or slurs, unlike other posters that have had their entire posting history deleted, hmmm, who could I be referring too? Now I don't always agree with Sinister or Gomez but they've never outright disrespected anything I've said or me personally unlike you. You call them trolls but your the one who always starts the ball rolling. (As in your the jerk first. ) I watched as you've called Autoexecbatman a sock because he disagreed with you and you called him derogatory names, in spite of the fact that he was nothing but respectful toward you. You are the problem here. Perhaps if you changed your attitude people might not treat you like the ass you act like.
And I'm sure now that I've called you an ass you're gonna get really riled up in spite of calling me "retarded" without actually using the word because it will get you banned.
See, now I know you are just a liar. Funny how people like you, trollimtjedungon amd Riley steams all say they were the nicest to me, apparently everyone is the nicest to me on here (lol).
I came to this board and was as respectful as could be until I was welcomed by your boys the same way you guys did in here. Amd I have a short temper so it got worse right off the bat. You are full of shlt saying I'm the one who starts stuff. No1 but you and those losers believe that. The crew you hang out with is the problem here, which is why THEY ONLY STAY HERE. Now their slowly starting to try to infest the Apocalypse board. Even some over on the civil war board don't like these guys because their nut jobs.
I honestly can't believe you. For gods sake even the people your siding with here admit to trolling this board over on the XMEN boards.
Wasn't blaming you for his words just pointing at them as a reason for the trigger happy response of myself and others toward people that like the film. While it's no excuse for rudeness I hope you can also see that when you get treated like that regularly by the same 5 people that like to make new accounts and cast more insults, the situation where people are sceptical of new positive voices in regard to the film becomes understandable. Unfortunately it has become habit to doubt first then have a genuine dialogue after it becomes clear the new guy isn't a sock account. (And honestly after having talked to you several times today there's still a part of me expecting you to roll out with "Marvel is for kiddies!!!!!" Followed by 97 emoticons and lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooo. )
What this weirdo refuses to acknowledge is these guys have been doing in before I got here and apparently have been doing it since after I left as well. He's really making it seem like it was the calmest place on earth until hurricane ilikemovimgimages showed up causing chaos 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
after having talked to you several times today there's still a part of me expecting you to roll out with "Marvel is for kiddies!!!!!"
You see, that for me is the silliest (and I'm being very polite right now)! In your world if someone says they like Fant4stic, they must be a Marvel hater (by the way, until now I was only aware of the Marvel-DC opposition, I knew nothing about Fox vs Marvel). I personally liked Man Of Steel, but The Winter Soldier was also good. I wasn't that much impressed by The Avengers though. Not because it's Marvel, but because somehow the story and the pacing wasn't good enough to suck me in.

It's not my world is what I've been trying to tell you. That is somethings literally posted by the people I have been talking about. As I said in another post, I'm a DC guy. And when I say that I don't mean I only read DC comics I mean I primarily enjoy DC more then Marvel comics. I actually have an extensive collection of both. But I've always enjoyed Batman and Superman more than Captain America or Iron Man mostly I read X-Men comics in regard to marvel so I actually thoroughly enjoyed most of the X-Men movies done by Fox. It wasn't until this board that I was labeled a Marveltard, by certain people on this board. (Here's a hint, they liked the movie. ) so I understand completely where you're coming from about the whole brand loyalty thing. Matter-of-fact I'm on my way tonight to actually go see Batman versus Superman I'm probably going to hate it because I didn't like man of steel but I'm willing to give it a chance. I personally am well aware of the fact that not only is marvel rooting for Batman versus Superman to do well but the people at Time Warner who own DC are thrilled that the MCU exists because they want to milk that cash cow. So the whole rivalry doesn't really exist. Granted if it came down to choosing which movie you want to see I'm sure both companies want you to pick their movie. But let's be honest the world doesn't work that way, I can go see BVS this month and go see Civil War in May it's not that difficult. but for some reason when I first started coming to this board I got labeled a Marvel card because I enjoyed the MCU movies and I didn't like this train wreck that is Fant4suk. I loved Deadpool and that was a Fox film. Matter of fact I'm pretty sure you'll be hard pressed to find someone that is a regular here that hated FF but didn't like Deapool. But the reality is the trolls have forced the us verses them thing, not the other way around contrary to what ILMI will tell you. (Again look at post history if ya don't believe me. ) I Believe it stems from the fact that a good portion of the people that don't like this movie feel that the fantastic four as a franchise have been sorely let down by Fox Studios and it would do well as a property to return back to marvel. I just feel they'd make a better fantastic four movie. They actually like the characters. And it's plain when you watch this movie Fox could care less about actually making a fantastic four movie they made a cash grab movie that was comic book titled in name only. I've said before this could've actually been a good movie if it wasn't A fantastic four movie. As the fantastic four movie it's awful. As a sci-fi movie it would still have been bowl but it would've had potential.
On a side note I also want to point out that as an adult I can afford to own a PS4 and an XB1 and a Wii. So that right there should tell You I don't go for the us verses them mentality. I also used to watch WWF and WCW. (Gasp). And I can drink Coke or Pepsi. Essentially I'm saying your right, the brand thing is stupid, but for the people that make fun and call names on this board, they get pissed when you do it better then they do, hence the joking term, "foxholmer". It exists solely to piss off trolls. Again sorry it was applied to you unjustly.
You virgins started it months ago and your still doing it today. Who needs posting history when the dude can see for his own eyes what goes on in here. I'm the bad guy because I call you losers and virgins, but yet you refuse to talk bad about sinister and his crew of losers that do far, far worse. That's why you have always, and will always, be a bltch. Oooooooo a bad word, ooooooooooo.
And once again he proves my point. "Virgins and bitches". His words not mine. Like I said you deal with that daily and you can understand why people might get trigger happy as I put it.
Also feel free to look up Wormhole and notjoshtrank, it's hard to prove because they get reported as trolls and then their posts disappear. For some reason the mods have let ilmi slide in spite of the profanity, racial slur and homophobic language. (He's actually being quite tame using virgin and bitches. ).
Let me say again, I have never had my posting history deleted by the mods, unlike some people. Ilmi. But I'm the liar.
As opposed to chaneye error project project error, etc. they tend to get banned after lowering themselves to your level. I simply refuse to do that. I let you make an ass out of yourself, and let people decide for themselves. I have never had another screen name. I have never used the slurs you do. My worst was calling you an ass and using the word "retard" in regard to something you called me. You have no moral high ground in this argument with me... NONE. I was nothing but respectful toward you until you got nasty, then I blocked you and you continued replieing to things I said, is remind you I couldn't see it and you still did it. (Something I've seen you accuse Sinister of in spite of him replieing to other people and not even talking to you). So in an effort to know what was being said about me, I unblocked you so I could defend myself should I need to. (I will admit that by then you stopped talking to me, so it wasn't necessary. Nevertheless I've left you unblocked so I know when you're blatantly lying to others. I also report you when you let those homophobe slurs fly, just cause. As well as race, etc. As it stands it's nice to call you out on your bull. ). I have to point out, during this entire thread, one of us has acted like an adult, and the other a whiny child who is upset people don't like him. So seriously, just stop, you're making an embarrassment of yourself.
Anyway gotta go, BVS is starting in ten minutes. So you have free reign to call me names for a few hours. Have fun with that.
I have no reason to lie. This is my only screen name. I wasn't around during the chaneye days and whatever weird beef him and sinister had, it effected him so much that he needs to call me that. And knowing how much he stalks me on other boards, it makes sense that this kid has some sort of disorder. I haven't posted on this board in months so I dunno how many times I responded to you while I was blocked. The difference is how am I to know I'm blocked on this site? Sinister knows he blocked. I told him that months ago and he still replies to me. You have to agree that is creepy.
Scimfix is a troll with over 5 different screen names, most which will prolly spam this thread to derail it any second. Replying to myself to inform the rest of the page what this dork is going to do.
You've admitted to being Chaneye in the past. At the time you were blocked I told you I was doing it, you got mad and called me a few choice names, then kept replying to me, I would then reply to myself reminding you I blocked you, then you'd reply to that calling me more names. As for what you're lying about, not being Chaneye, not being an antogonistic troll, the fact that you're the cause of 99% of your own problems as far as people being rude to you as can be illustrated by your own behavior in this very thread. And probably a lot more that I'm forgetting at the moment. That being said I'm done feeding the troll tonight, I've had a long day.
Also if anyone is following the convo and is curious.... Went in to BVS expecting to hate it, and while it wasn't what it could have been, a lot of it is a disjointed mess unless you know your comic book lore (mild spoiler that's more need to know comic knowledge then actual movie spoiler..... If you don't know what a boom tube is, google it before you see it. Because one scene will make a lot more sense. Edit.... Ok so upon thinking more on the drive home I realized that there is another possible thing that they may have done instead of a boom tube, but in the context of the scene, a boom tube makes way more sense. Of course it could just be me with a serious case of head canon cause I want the DC universe to actually be good. ), it wasn't as bad as MOS either. I have other issues as well but overall for a first viewing, 6.5/7 out of ten. It provided me with enough hope that the rest of these movies might not totally suck.
Wait hold on, I admitted to being chaneye in the past? I would absolutely love to see even a tiny shred of proof of that. I'm going to LOL when you show me some BS that the sinister copycat screen name of mine posted it.
Although it is pretty convenient that once you make your outlandish lie you say you're done for the night. What a shocker. Oh btw, remember the time you admitted to being a homosexual? It was in the same thread I said I was chaneye 😂😂😂😂😂
That would be difficult considering we've already established your posting history has been deleted, twice. So let's just drop it altogether. You don't like me, I don't like you. Have fun with your life.
Further BVS comment if anyone read the first. after sleeping on it, the second possible explanation makes more sense in the context of a different scene so I'm back to being not sure what to think. If anyone wants to ask dm me and we can have a spoiler filled private conversation. Lol might check out the BVS board to see if anyone else is talking about it, might not though. Lol
It's true Reznik_T me and my son have been mercilessly cyber bullied on this board for half a year. Whenever I attempted to say something good about this film I was attacked by these trolls it's like they are full of hate suggesting their parents never loved them. The troll Sinister is particularly the nastiest. He camps on this board all day with his friends and says mean things to anyone who says positive things about the movie. Not only that he follows them around like he does ilkemovingimages and tortures them. He and his fellow trolls did the same to me. Even though we put them on ignore they still stalk and attack us. IMDB should really do something about this as it's a very serious issue.
Yeah I don't get all the hate for it either. I saw the movie back in October and after the movie, I remember wondering why everyone thought it was so horrible about it. I mean, Green Lantern still falls under one of the worst comic book movies of all time for me. And this movie wasn't that level of bad. It wasn't the best superhero movie ever, but it was by far not the worst. I actually enjoyed it more than I did any of the Avengers movies. Personally, I would give it a 7 out of 10.
I agree. I thought the first 2/3 of the movie was great. I liked what they did with doom. I also quite liked the more serious take on the subject matter. The let down for me was the final act went for about 5 minutes. Needed another 30 minutes of movie. Maybe they ran out of money? The last bit where they are thinking up a name for themselves is also pretty cringeworthy.
I think I gave it 5/10 overall but I think the IMDb rating is far lower than you would expect for this movie. Ultimately the comic book fanboys want movies that are more faithful to the original material. As someone who never read the comics, I couldn't really give a toss about this. So I think thats probably why I enjoyed it much more than the butthurt people on these message boards.
Here's an idea: Why don't you read the reviews it got, then you'll know why it's hated. You may not agree with the reviews, but at least you'll understand why other people hated it so much. And this goes for all movies that get a lot of hate.
Some are just trolls who have nothing better to do, some are fanboys of an opposing company or franchise who play as trolls, and some are people with genuine criticisms on why they feel a movie is bad. But you know what? Just read through them and sort them out, rather than be a lazy-ass and coming off as a troll yourself (regardless if that was your intent or not) by asking people why an undeniably bad movie is bad.
"How would you feel about life if Death was your older sister?"
Chill out... If you read my post you can see that I'm not asking people to give me a detailed explanation about why this movie received so many bad reviews. I was simply saying that I watched it, I've found it to be an enjoyable, okay movie, and that it's beyond me why so many said it was a disaster. At the end of my post I wrote the question: "Is anyone on a similar opinion?" So I simply initiated conversation with people who felt the same way about this movie.
I've seen too many "why the hate" posts, when the answer is simple.
So I refer back to my original reply. If you don't "understand" the hate, read the reviews, then you will understand, simple as that. If you're not a troll, then you're just naive, either way doesn't look good for you.
"How would you feel about life if Death was your older sister?"
Dude, are you a m.oron or what? I've heard and read reviews, I know what people's complaints are about the movie. It's not that I can't wrap my mind around the things people say, it's that I don't think those things made the movie as bad as it is suggested by those reviews. I posted this to see if there are other people on the same opinion as me. I don't know how I could make it any clearer.
It's not that I can't wrap my mind around the things people say....
Then you might wanna rephrase your original subject, because you literally said "I really don't understand why it is hated soo much".
....it's that I don't think those things made the movie as bad as it is suggested by those reviews...
So it is in fact that you don't agree with what they said, but apparently you do understand why they said it. Hence, change your main subject. Otherwise, you appear as the "m.oron".
"How would you feel about life if Death was your older sister?" reply share
No, I'm not going to rephrase anything or change the main subject, because people who are interested in talking about the film know exactly what I mean. Bye.
I was really surprised at the low ranking. Found this much more satisfying than the previous version 10 years ago, really enjoyed it. While my taste can be somewhat eclectic, I just preferred this approach. Am not coming from the comic book perspective, when I was a kid some 40 odd years ago I couldn't stand the comic at all. Jessica Alba's cuter than Kate Mara was my sexist complaint. :)
